Chapter 4- Living Hell

*ALIX'S POV*

We've been stuck at this damn orphanage for three years! Im 14 years old now, my birthday was on December 24. Kris was about to be 13 on December 31.
ANYWHORE, saying that this place was a hell hole was an understatement. Pretty much everyone here hates us, even our social worker, Sallie hated us. When we got to the orphanage, around 3 years ago, Sallie said they only had one room left so Kris and I would have to share a room, bed, and bathroom. I didn't mind but I got pretty pissed off when new people arrived and they gave them a room to themselves. According to Sallie, its because they're decent enough to have a room to themselves, they don't look like Kris and I do. Right now its was like 6 a.m. and I was getting dressed while Kris was asleep, and almost falling off the bed. I was putting on a Black Veil Brides shirt and some ripped skinny jeans. Once I finished getting dressed I chuckled to myself and looked at how peaceful she looked. She had the best personality, a beautiful smile, her gorgeous green eyes, she was beautiful all around. NO ALIX, THIS IS YOUR BESTFRIEND YOU CAN'T THINK ABOUT HER LIKE THAT, SNAP OUT OF IT. I told myself. I was snapped out of my thoughts by a loud thump and a groaning Kris on the floor. To be completely honest, she looked incredibly stupid and I couldn't help but laugh. She fell off the bed
"Turtle, shut the fuck up and come help me!" Kris yelled at me
I just laughed and helped her back up. "Panda! Go get dressed we have to be out of this hell hole by 7 am" I whisper/yelled at her.
Today Kris and I were gonna sneak out to got to a Black Veil Brides concert. Before we were in the orphanage, Kris and I were dancers and baton twirlers. We used to be State Champions in baton twirling and National Champions in dance. Anyways Kris and I dance and twirl on the street for money and we got enough to buy 2 tickets. That's also how we were able to buy a phone. We wanted to sneak out early because we had a bit of money left over and we wanted to buy some war paint at HotTopic and get some breakfast.
"Im ready" Kris told me and with that, we were setting up the rope. (our room is on the second floor)
Soon both Kris and I were outside and running to nearest mall. After running about a mile we reached a mall and to our surprise, it was open. We walked in and straight away, I saw the HotTopic sign and I ran to the stairs with Kris close behind me. Once I was at HotTopic, I walked to where the warpaint was and I grabbed a tub thingy. I went to the cashier and paid for it while Kris ordered some food. She gave me my Subway and I didn't care what the fuck was in that sandwich, I just wanted food. "Oh My God! This tastes like heaven!" I told Kris
"ITS MORE THAN HEAVEN!" She told me with her mouth full.
***skipping the rest of lunch****

*KRIS'S POV*

After we ate, Alix and I just walked around the mall a bit. With me being the lazy person I am and Alix being the strong person she is, she ended up carrying me half of the time we were at the mall. We were walking out of the mall when we heard Lost It All by Black Veil Brides. Alix and I did a lyrical dance to this at nationals and we won first place in the duet portion. I jumped off of her back and it was like we read each other's minds because we started to do our routine. We added a few harder tricks in there. I was so lost in the music that I didn't even notice that people had started to crowd around us. Both Alix and I were dancing our hearts out and by the time the song finished we were panting and attempting to take deep breaths. People started clapping and some people were wolf whistling. I took Alix's hand in mine and we bowed.

The people in the crowd started to go their own way and Alix and I were left there alone. Alix pulled me into a hug and I gladly accepted it. Her hugs were always the best, so warm and safe feeling. I pulled away and we looked into each others eyes. That's when Alix did the unexpected, SHE KISSED ME.

*ALIX'S POV*

I had just pressed my lips to Kris's but she didn't kiss back so I quickly pulled away.
"Shit. Kris i'm so sorry, I-" she cut me off by kissing me. I started to kiss back. We both pulled away after a while. She told me "Don't apologize, I liked it."
I blushed a deep shade of red.
"You know you look cute when you blush." she told me and I just blushed more, if that's even possible. I just hugged her and we started walking to the venue.
