i KNOW i just did a shuichi x reader but i had this idea i was excited about 🥺

next one will probably be hinata or rantaro, i haven't decided yet :)

i also might use this concept for other boys, bc i like the scared/comfort stories :)))

⛈⛈

The day had barely begun and you were already a mess. Sitting in your dorm, under the covers, clutching a pillow with tears streaming down your face.

You had no idea that the usually sunny area you were trapped in could produce storms, but here you were.

Every time the thunder struck you jumped. clinging to the pillow tighter and yelping, although it was slightly muffled by the pillow.

It was around morning, maybe 10 am. you hadn't checked. but the storms outside made the sky so dark that it didn't even seem like it was daytime.

You wanted to go out and get breakfast, but you wouldn't stand up. Your legs would shake and you'd collapse when the thunder hit. So you remained bundled in your room, petrified.

You worried about everyone else. Would they wonder where you were? Did they care? You tried to reason with yourself before another bang erupted, scattering your thoughts.

The day passed at a torturous pace. Each minute felt like an hour. Your hunger also began to arise, but it didn't matter. You were too scared to do anything.

How did the storm even last this long?

You heard the door open, followed by monokumas annoying laugh.

You peeked out from under your blanket to see monokuma standing next to your bed, holding a large tray.

"Wow! you really are scared! Puhuhu! Well, i brought you food. We can't have you starving to death if you're supposed to be killing!!"

Monokuma handed you a rather large tray of food. It was quite a lot to make up for what you hadn't eaten today. As well as a few things to keep you going if you stayed.

"I'm not against you staying in here, you're vulnerable!! Puhuhu~!"

You couldn't say much back, but he left pretty quickly after that. You tried to eat, but the thunder made you jump, nearly spilling your food onto your dorm's floor. You managed, eating the meal and stashing the extra food on a table in your room for later. You ran around doing this, before leaping back under the covers, desperate for some safety.

It was torture.

Your tears and hyperventilating were interrupted by a polite knock on your door.

"y-y/n? are you okay? i haven't seen you at all..."

Shuichi?

"I-I..."

You could barely say anything before a thunder clap made you shriek. it was so loud, it seemed like your entire room shook.

"y/n!"

Your door opened, followed by a confused and concerned shuichi. You peeked up, for him to see your face.

Your face was wet from your tears and snot. Your eyes were so red, and your hair was messy and tangled. Eye bags sat below your eyes.

"Oh my god! are you okay?"

Shuichi ran up to you, holding your shoulders.

"I-I'm... scared..."

"Is it the thunder outside?"

"y-yeah.."

Tears continued to roll down your face as you explained it to shuichi.

Another thunderclap interrupted you, making you cling to his shirt. He blushed and jumped a bit from the sudden contact.

You buried your face in his chest, terrified.

He was flustered, but desperate to help you. He held you close, rubbing your back to calm you down.

Your sniffles and cries were followed by quiet whispers of "shhh... it's okay."

When the thunder struck, he held you tighter.

He made it seem a little less scary.

"Shhh... i'm right here."

Your tears coated his dark shirt, but he didn't care. He hugged you tight as your breathing became more steady.

You pulled away from him after what seemed like forever.

"I-I'm sorry for making you so worried..."

"Don't apologize y/n. You were scared."

He cupped your cheeks in his hands, looking away for a second, flustered.

"You're safe."

He wiped your tears with his thumbs. He was flustered by his actions, and so were you. Both your faces were pink. You felt safe and warm in his touch.

"You should get some rest." Shuichi said.

You nodded, and as he got up, you stopped him.

"W-wait! c-can you stay with me?"

He looked suprised, and blushed at the request.

"Ah, um, okay."

He got into bed with you and wrapped you in the covers. He held you to his chest and cuddled you.

The relentless rain still loudly poured outside. But you were calm in shuichi's arms.

"Goodnight y/n."

"G-goodnight."

You melted into shuichi as you both drifted into sleep.
