Disclaimer: I don't own these characters or Middle-Earth. This was written merely for fun.

A/N: Because this is the kind of stuff that happens when you have a half day at school and nothing better to do. I wouldn't suggest reading unless you are a Tolkienite. Otherwise, you won't understand a word. It’s written almost in the form of a children’s nursery rhyme book however, I didn’t mean for it to end up that way. In fact, in started out as a prompt fill, but didn’t quite turn out. Please don’t be too mean. I know it’s a bit strange and not one of my greatest. Besides, I'm already working on lament for Sauron, just because I'm strange like that. ;)

When Melkor came a tempting
Mairon was already drifting
Off into the void.

His words were sweet
And filled with the Dark Lord's deceit
So together, they passed over to Arda.

Chains, whips, tortures, and fire
Anything and all, he began to desire
For himself and for his master.

They sewed chaos and lies,
And plotted Elven kings demise
And so together, they ravaged the world

When the Valar came a knocking

 And disturbed their plotting

They dragged Morgoth off into the void.

Poor Mairon turned Sauron,

Was left alone to carry on

With the hopes of avenging his lord.

But eventually they got him too,

And with nothing better to do,

The Valar threw him in the void also.

And now as both dark lords sit alone in the void,
With only the other's company to enjoy,
Together, they wonder if it all was worth it.
