The Appointment

Caitlin's P.O.V
"Hello, Flash." I heard in a voice warped by evil and electricity. Quickly, I flattened myself on the couch and carefully rolled onto the floor. "How do you know who I am?" I heard Barry ask.
"I know lots of things Barry Allen. Including the fact that your girlfriend is pregnant," Electric said smugly. I heard Barry gasp.
"I'll never let you touch her!" He growled.
"We'll see about that, " Electric replied. He sped away and I released a breath that I didn't even realize I was holding.
Barry quickly locked the door and ran over to me. I got up from the floor and he cradled me in his arms. "Are you and the baby okay?" He asked.
I nodded and put my hands on the small bump on my stomach, "Yes, just a little frightened. That's all."
He hugged me tighter, though still being careful not to hug me too hard because of the baby. "We need to get you to Star Labs. You'll be safer there." He said and the next moment I was standing in the cortex.
"Barry, we can't stay here forever. I have an ultrasound tomorrow." I said.
"Well, let's just stay here for the night. Okay?" Barry said as he walked me over to the med-bay.
I smirked, "Safer? Here? With dangerous meta villains locked up in our secret prison?"
He playfully rolled his eyes, " Well, I can protect you. Now, you need to get some sleep."
"Okay, " I murmured, yawning.
He tucked me in and as I drifted off to sleep I thought that even though Electric just came to our house I have never felt safer because he's with me.

Barry's P.O.V
I should've been exhausted, but my urge to keep Caity and the baby safe kept me wide awake. She looks so peaceful when she sleeps. Where she normally had a worried crease on her brow, her skin was smooth. Her worried expression was now peaceful. Silently I sat down in the chair next to her and placed my hand on the growing bump on her stomach.
I will protect Caity and this baby, I would die trying, I thought. Caitlin is my life, my true love, and this baby will soon become as big a part of my life as Caity.

Caitlin's P.O.V
I slowly opened my eyes, my eyelids still heavy, and saw Barry's tired eyes looking into mine, and a small smile on his lips.
"Morning Barry Bear," I mumbled steeply as a wave of nausea hit, "Ugh, morning sickness."
Quickly, his smile turned into an expression of concern.
"Are you ok? Do you need water? A bucket? Are you feeling well enough to go to the ultrasound?" Barry asked at a hundred miles a minute.
I smiled, god I love that man. I placed my hand on his to calm him.
"Barry, I'm fine, just a little nauseous," I reassured, "Now, let's go home and get ready for the appointment."
"Are you sure?" Barry asked.
"Yes, Barry."
So, he picked me up and we sped home.

Barry's P.O.V
*2 hours later at the ob-gyn*
Caitlin bit her lip and a crease formed between her eyebrows.
"You nervous?" I asked her, placing a hand on her hand, which lay on the crinkly paper on the examination bed.
"A little," she admitted, "What if there's something wrong with the baby?"
I sighed and kissed her forehead, "I'm sure our baby is perfectly healthy, but if it isn't we will do everything in our power to make it healthy again."
At that moment the doctor entered the room.
"Hello Dr. Caitlin Snow," the doctor said, glancing at her chart, "my name is Dr. Rachel Grace, and I will be performing you're ultrasound today." She gestured at me, "I assume that he is the father?"
I stood and shook her hand, "Yes, I'm Barry Allen, I am the father."
"Nice to meet you, Barry." She said with a warm smile, "Now Caitlin, do you have any questions before I begin the ultrasound?"
"No, Dr. Grace," Caitlin said, as she gripped my hand.
"Okay then, we will now begin."
Dr. Grace pulled up to Caity's bedside in her swivel chair.
"This may feel a little cold." She said as she spread a gel on Caitlin's slightly bloated stomach.
She then placed the probe on Caitlin's baby bomb and began the exam.
After a few tense minutes, she spoke.
"The babies seem to be perfectly healthy." Dr. Grace reassured.
Caitlin and I were suddenly confused.
"Babies?" We both asked.
"Yes, congratulations Mr. Allen and Dr. Snow! You're having triplets."
