Sorry guys I unpublished it without knowing 🙇♀️🙇♀️🙇♀️
Gulf's grandparents had dinner on the table, and Gulf kept looking out the window, waiting for Mew. He took a seat next to the window so that he could wait, and not even his mother asking him questions could make him move away.
Mew came in later that night, and Gulf hugged him. He really did not like being away from him, and he had no idea why it was so strong inside of him. They did not kiss each other in front of Gulf's family, but they went back and sat with them on the couch.
Gulf's grandparents looked on Mew fondly, so glad that their grandson's best friend had turned out to be such a good boy. Sam sat on the couch across from them, seething in jealousy. Ann could not keep her eyes off Mew and didn't even bother trying to hide her interest that night, but Gulf was the one that Mew was paying attention to.
"I have to go back to America tomorrow night," Mew said apologetically to Gulf's parents. "I'm sorry that I'm cutting plans so short..."
"Your dad called today," Mr. Kanawut said. "He said he wanted to come by and talk to you tomorrow..."
Mew froze, and Gulf felt the tension in the room fill as Mew tried to think about how he could politely say no. There was not a way, there was not anything that he could do about it.
"Mew and I should probably get some rest for tomorrow, then," Gulf said, smiling at his family. "I'll be going back to America with Mew tomorrow. I hope that you come to visit us there, we have a genuinely nice home that you're welcome to stay in..."
"You two live together?" Sam asked.
"Yes," Gulf said, standing up. "Good night, mom, grandma, and grandpa. Good night, Sam," Gulf said, and he took an almost comatose Mew upstairs.
He dressed his lover in his sleeping clothing, washed his unresponsive face, and then tucked him into their bed, holding him close. "I'm here, baby," he whispered into his ear.
"I was going to make your stay with them this afternoon, where you have so much opportunity. Forgive me for being selfish Gulf, 'because I need you next to me for this, baby. I need you so bad..."
"Nothin' to forgive, baby," Gulf said, holding him close. "I'll be your strength when you don't have anymore. I'll be your shelter, so don't be afraid to look to me, all right?"
Mew was shaking, and his grip on Gulf was so tight that it really hurt, but Gulf did not say anything. He held Mew in his arms until the other man fell asleep, exhausted from fright, and worry. Gulf wondered exactly how he was going to be able to keep his promises.
The meeting started off wrong, and it just got worse. Mew sat in the Kanawut's living room with Gulf, and Gulf's mother and Sam were there for some God only know the reason. Mew told her that he understood, because he really did, and he stayed at her family's home next door.
"It's been a long time, son," the father smiled at his boy.
"Not long enough," Mew said, hostility dripping from his lips. He took a drink of coffee that was sitting in front of him, controlling himself so that he did not throw the steaming liquid in his father's face.
"Aw, don't be that way kid, it wasn't that bad living with your old man, was it?" he flashed a charming grin at Ann and Sam, who seemed to buy it. At least Gulf could see where Mew got his charisma from, even if this man's charisma were oily.
"Why are you here?" Mew asked, cutting through the crap.
"I just wanted to catch up on old times. How is your mother?"
"She's none of your business. Oh, and she's married to one of the best fathers a boy could possibly want..."
"It helps to have that much money," the guy said, "It was always hard making ends meet when I was younger..."
Mew rolled his eyes. "If you think money had anything to do..."
"I do. Which is basically why I am coming by today. You are horning in on my business. Selling to the Thailand police department and the military? On top of that, you're practically giving them away..."
"You don't have the production to sell in the quantities that I sell, Mister," Mew spit out. "You don't have the innovation to sell what I sell. Why don't you just stick to your back-alley dealings and leave the job to the professionals?"
"I want your connections," his father leaned forward intently. "All I need is one little measly handout from you, and you owe me. You better give me a good introduction or I'll..."
"What will you do, beat me?" Mew asked, looking into his father's face just as intently.
"I'll tell everyone that your little boyfriend right there is her son and a fag on top of it," he had an evil grin on his face when Ann gasped in shock. Sam looked pissed.
"Do it," Mew said. "I don't care, we live in America. I take him along on most of my business meetings where I practically molest him in front of my clients, daddy dearest. They fucking love it."
"It will hurt her reputation," he said, jerking his head at Ann. "It will destroy her son's band."
"No, it won't," Mew said. "Thai people value education and money, not necessarily in that order. I have both. On top of that, I am pretty. Plus, all Gulf and I must do is show up with a pretty girl on our arm at a few shindigs over here and you'll look like you're trying to blackmail me, which is what you're doing. No one will buy your crap, especially about two guys they don't even care about."
His father smirked. "You leave me no chance. I'll just have to shoot your boyfriend then..."
