It was early in the morning, so when Cassi got to the kitchen, she first made a big pot of coffee. After she had a couple cups, she got a package of pop-tarts and put them in the toaster, and waited for them to spring back up.
While waiting for her pop-tarts, Cassi's mom and dad walk in and are surprised to see her up before them. "Lloyd dear, could you go and wake up Arlo so he can start getting ready?" Cassi's mother said to her father. "Of course Patricia dear." her dad replied. They weren't very interesting people, very average.
As soon as he left, Cassi's pop-tarts sprang up from the toaster and she grabbed them in the air, folded them up in a napkin and stuck them in her pocket and was about to grab her back pack when her mom said, "S-Sweetie, where are you going so early? Y-you haven't even eaten yet."
Hesitantly, Cassi decided to tell her, choosing her words carefully, that she was meeting a friend, (she didn't say it was Dax though). Her mom looked surprised and replied, "Oh, is it (what's her name) that Charlotte?"
"Charlotte Starwalt? the popular girl? No, it's... someone else." An even bigger look of surprise came across her mom's face but was quickly replaced with a big smile. "Oh sweetheart, that's wonderful!" she said, "Well, I-I wont keep you any longer, you run along now!" Cassi grabbed her bag and was about out the door, when her mom placed a hand on her arm and said quietly in her ear, "Just make sure to be careful okay?"
Just then a look came across her eyes, like she was keeping something hidden, and locked away. Cassi dismissed it and said she would be careful.
As Cassi rode on her bike on the way to school, that's when she realized how tired she actually was, she could hardly push the pedals. If only she was allowed to use the car that she would get when she turned 20 and had to move out, but thank god it was a short ride to school. She was almost to school when she thought about her agreement with Dax to meet up early in the library and research about their shared, dilemma.

It was the first thing she said after she got uncomfortable talking about Dax the night before, "Well maybe not dilemma per say," Cassi thought, "But we just want to know how to deal with you without possibly having disastrous consequences." she did want an answer for a bigger desire, but that was buried deep down so far that Cas didn't even know about it.

Cassi could just picture Dark Cassi sitting down, pretending to be looking at her nails saying that.
-Time skip to school
When Cassi gets to school, she locks her bike in the first open rack since no one else was there, except for Dax's bike, which was a few slots down. She steps inside and goes strait to the library and in the back with all the tall bookshelves, she see's Dax, realizing how cute he is when he's not changing into a demon. :)
He was looking at some books on the tall shelf, when he notices her walk toward him and recognizes her big green eyes which immediately puts a smile on his face. "Have you found anything?" Cassi said, "Well, I found a couple of books, but they are just out of reach." He points to a shelf a couple feet above him.
"Oh wait," Cassi remembers, "I know where the ladders with wheels that hook on the shelf are!" She starts walking toward a closet close to the desks. "I used to work as a library assistant last semester." A loud *thunk* came from the closet as she got a ladder down and rolled it over to the shelf.
"There were only a few books but the one that seemed to have the most info was called Dark Genetic Phenomena" Dax said as Cassi climbed on the ladder. She climbed up to the right shelf and scans the titles for the book. She see's the book and leaned back a bit and looks down at him and says, "I found the book".
As she turns her head back toward the shelf, she wobbles a bit on the ladder and almost loses her balance when Dax see's her and puts his hands on her waist to steady her. As soon as his strong hands firmly grasp her waist, it sends sparks up her spine, and turned her cheeks red as a tomato. Cassi quickly grabs the book and climbs back down.
She out stretches her arms to give him the book, but he grabs the book with one hand and holds the book between them and says to her, "Hey, you should be more careful next time," he puts his hand on her arm and guides it down to her finger tips. Then taking the book in both hands says, "I won't always be there to save your careless ass!"
This caused her to laugh. He winked at her and glitched, but not in a bad way, a way that made her insides flip over, which made her glitch too. "Now we REALLY need to get to reading!" Cassi said with a chuckle.
