The book was called Dark Genetic Phenomena. They found a few other books but this book had some of the actual answers they were looking for. And they took notes...
~ Depending in how the Persona's are formed, they will have different types of powers and personality's depending on the subject (being the actual human).
~ If the human gets hurt or killed, the persona can heal them or bring them back to life, but only if they are willing to.
~ The persona's can technically live without a human, but they lose a lot of their power from the separation being how painful it is. Then they just become a kind of phantom without a human body.
~ If the human is without their dark persona's, they lose half of themselves, Like an empty shell forced to go on, but still technically alive. And eventually will go mentally unstable.
~ The dark persona's can take over when the subject is sleeping, because all of the bodily and brain functions are focused on sleep. That gives the persona's a chance to slip into the subjects "dream world". And when the subject wakes up, he or she will not remember their dream because technically the persona experienced it, not the subject, but they can sometimes remember very small portions of what happened because they are still connected.
As Cassi finished re-reading some notes she says aloud to Dax, "Man, the author really knew what he was talking about." Then she starts looking over the author information in the back where it says, "All about: Ethan Nastor". (It's not a typo, it was intentional and it's my favorite joke so far.)
When Dax responds, "Yeah, that would probably be the only person that would have all the answers, and not just the ones in the book." "Well, why don't we go find him?" Cassi states bluntly, "I mean we'd probably get more answers in person."
Dax just stares at her in disbelief and starts talking about how that might be a bit drastic when the bell rung, signaling it was time for class.
"Ok look," Cassi said to Dax, "We can talk more about it at lunch. Just look for the table by the vending machine that's almost never filled up, and you'll find me." Before Cassi could head to class, Dax grabbed her arm and said to her, "I hope you know what your talking about." And with that he left for his own class.
After Dax left, Cassi headed to her own class and seated herself. After a few minutes, Cassi saw Charlotte walk in and Charlotte walks up to her after she settles herself. "Hi Cassi!", "Hello Charlotte" Cassi replies. "So," Charlotte continues, "I've noticed that you've been spending some time with um, golly what's his name, Derek, Dan...?"
"You mean Dax?" Cassi finished for her. "Yeah him! Are you guys like a thing? Because if you are, you might want to go to the dance in town square next month! Almost everyone in town is going, and those that don't go will probably be sleeping with how late it's going to be."
wait a minute... Cassi thought
about everyone in town distracted by a dance...
No one would be suspicious if they saw one car leave that may or may not be leaving town while the others are returning home...
It was like when an author gives the main character the perfect solution to their conundrum. (Definitely no fourth wall breaking here). Fate was giving her the perfect opportunity, she had to take it, she also needed to convince Dax to take it to.
Then Cassi noticed Charlotte waving a hand in front of her face trying to get her attention, apparently she had spaced out. When she was back to reality, she asked Charlotte questions like, "When would the dance end?" "Midnight." Charlotte answered. "And what would people be doing afterwards?" Cassi asked again, "Probably sleeping." Charlotte replied but continued, "But getting back on topic, are you and this Dax person actually a thing?"
this caught her off guard, "W-What? no, no, I-I don't even like him." Cassi said quickly, but when she thought about his chocolate brown eyes and soft looking dark hair, she could feel her cheeks heating up. Charlotte looked at her skeptically but only said, "Hmm, sure you don't."
A/N: Hey there ma peeps! Sorry I haven't uploaded in a while, my dad said he was "borrowing" my computer and I haven't gotten it back until now. Also I've been less motivated to write recently but I'll try to work on that to upload more frequently :) Hope you're enjoying it so far!
