I was in the hallway leading to the arena of the Vytal Festival. I was standing next to Mercury as he cracked his knuckles and next to him was Emerald who was stretching and Quiet who stood next to her was swinging her rapier around.
A/n:if quiet talks she is using her scroll to write down what she's saying.
Mercury:so we're fighting team NDGO right?
Emerald:yeah. What are you scared of them or something?
Mercury:no. Just wanted to make sure.
Quiet:even if we somehow get knocked out of the ring or our aura turns red I'm sure y/n will hit them with a train or something.
Y/n:oh come on how am I gonna do that?
Mercury:I don't know but I do remember that train coming out of nowhere when it hit Roman. Oh I know maybe he can summon Thomas the train.
Y/n:either way I'd probably end up killing them by doing so.
Oobleck:can the chosen teams please come on to the arena.
Emerald:well there is our calling.
As Emerald says that we begin walking toward the arena and once we made it on we see team NDGO standing there looking at us with smiles.
Mercury:so the plan is for Emerald and I to go after black haired girl and purple haired girl while you and Quiet go after the other two girls.
Dew:we have names you know.
Mercury:oh yeah I know. But then again your just side characters. Maybe I'll remember your names when you guys come back as main characters like us.
Octavia:why you little-
Y/n:okay wait let's all calm down here. I mean the battle hasn't even began and were already trying to kill each other.
Nebula:he's right guys. If we attack them before the match even starts we'll probably be disqualified.
Octavia looks at Mercury angrily as he smiles at them.
Nora:hit them with a train y/n!!
I look up at the crowd and see Nora and her team along with Team RWBY waving at me chuckling at Nora's suggestion. But then the arena began to shake and the floor behind NDGO transforms into a land filled with sand and mountains.
Nebula:alright, home field advantage.
The floor behind us then changes into a land filled with water and a small island. And oddly enough a pirate ship.
Mercury:oh dang. That's salt water hope it doesn't rust my metal.
Emerald:yeah hopefully.
Y/n:what metal?
Emerald:oh you see Mercury's boots have some metal in them. And you know salt water and metal don't really mix that well.
Y/n:oh. Good luck then.
Port:well now that the lands have been chosen let the battle begin.
