Lauren comes home from work and sighs.
"Baby! Baby!" Camila jogs to her girlfriend, the dogs right behind her.
"What's up? Did Thunder pooped inside the house again?" Lauren asks.
"No," Camila giggles. "I was talking to my doctor and he said I was healthy enough to be able to give birth to a kid," Camila jumps up and down.
"Really?!" Lauren asks in disbelief.
"Yeah!" Camila smiles.
"We didn't really discuss having a kid baby," Lauren frowns.
"I know, I just, raising Cleo and Thunder made me want a real kid," Camila smiles. "Think about it," She kisses Lauren on the cheek and leaves the green-eyed girl to herself.
Lauren blinks multiple times taking in what her girlfriend just said. She may admit having a kid with Camila is an amazing image in her head but they are way too young.
Lauren is 23 and Camila hit 22. Lauren takes out her phone and dials a specific number. The phone rings a couple of times until they pick up.
"Hello?" They answer.
"Mommy hi!" Lauren chirps.
"Is something wrong bebè?" Clara asks.
"Not really mommy uh Camila just told me something interesting," Lauren speaks into the phone.
"Go on," Her mother says.
"She went with the doctor to see if she's healthy enough to have a baby, which she is, and asked me if I wanted to have a kid..." Lauren trails off.
"Well do you want a kid with her baby?" Clara asks.
"Of course I do mami it's just we're too inexperienced with babies," Lauren explains.
"You two raised Cleo and Thunder since they were puppies and they are the most well-behaved dogs I've ever met," Lauren's mom tries to boost her confidence.
"How is that the same mom?" Lauren asks.
"Quite the same, you make sure they do their duty, you feed them, you make sure they are clean, you raise them to be respectful and kind, it's everything you do with a baby except its just an animal, not a human being," Her mother explains.
"Do you think we are capable?" Lauren asked.
"Of course sweetie," Her mom says and Lauren can sense the smile on her lips.
"Okay mommy I'll call you again with an update," Lauren smiles. "Bye, te amo!"
"I love you too baby," Lauren's mother coos and Lauren hangs up.
Lauren puts her phone away to see Camila approaching. She has a faint smile on her lips and Lauren frowns.
"You heard all of that," Lauren whispers.
Camila nods, "You really don't want to have a kid with me?"
"No, I mean yes," Lauren takes Camila's hand in hers. "The thought of our kid running around in their diaper or playing with Cleo and Thunder is the most cutest thing ever, it's just we're too young."
"I don't think the same soon we will be way too old," Camila jokes hearty.
Lauren smiles and hugs her girlfriend close to her. "Give me a couple of days to talk with my mom because if we're going to do this I need to know everything there is to know," Lauren whispers.
"Than we'll both talk to our parents," Camila smiles. "Speaking of which my parents are having a barbecue this Sunday and they want your family to come," Camila smiles brightly.
"We'll talk to our parents there," Lauren smiles sweetly.
