Chapter 12

Kendrick's POV

Seth enters the house looking miserable compared to his usual self

"How'd it go?" Ray asks as he plops down on a stool

"Terrible." He sighs

He probably realized how extremely weird and annoying she is and he changed his mind about liking her

"Why, what happened?" Ray asks, his eyebrows creased

"She brother zoned me.... said that she sees me merely as a brother and it'd be weird if she ever saw me as anything other than that." He runs a frustrated hand through his hair

Will it make me a bad person if I laugh at his ass? Come on it was pretty obvious she didn't like him like that

"On the bright side, she sees you as something more than a friend." Ray tries to ease the situation

Seriously Ray?

"I mean, maybe she'll have a change of heart someday." Ray suggests

I roll my eyes

"Shut the fuck up Ray. Seth, she told you she doesn't like you in that sense so I'll advice you to get over it soon because there is no use in crying over it if it ain't going to change a damn thing." I roll my eyes. "Wipe that self pity of your fucking face and gulp this down." I say throwing him a beer can which he effortlessly catches

Ray looks at me disapprovingly and I shrug my shoulders

"You are the most insensitive motherfucker there is bruh. Can't you see that he's hurt?" He says once Seth is out of earshot

"The sooner he starts accepting the truth the better. You can't give a man hope that isn't there." I tell him

"You are wrong for this Ken." He says

"Oh boo hoo, he's not fifteen." I roll my eyes

"Just wait for the day Victoria breaks your heart, I'll be there to laugh in your fuckin face."

He capping but oh my fuckin balls!

"That won't happen. I, like Skylar don't see Victoria dear like that. If anything,  she makes me want to take my eyeballs out and stuff them into my ears everytime she fuckin giggles."

He laughs like I've just told him the funniest joke on the planet

"Well that's not how it looks like on our end my friend. You two seem to be getting really friendly. I won't be surprised if you haven't already, you know." He smirks

I would be lying if i said it hasn't crossed my mind. She is hot but she's not worth my amazing dick game

"Not in her wildest dreams. I can tell you now that nothing is ever going to happen between me and her."

"Are you sure, she's practically throwing herself at you."

"I'm only 'friendly' with her so I use her to get to SkyHigh, other than that she can kiss my ass." I take a swing at my beer

I'm sure she'd love to

"And how are you going to do that?" Ray asks seemingly uninterested

"I don't know yet but I'll figure it out." I say and he scoffs, turning around and walking out the kitchen
