Skylar's POV
'Hey, can I talk to you?"
I turn to face the voice and it is none other than our very own Kendrick Gabriel... great, as if his girlfriend wasn't trouble enough
"What do you want Gabriel?"
At this point I am stressed, annoyed, angry and damn agitated. I just want to leave this place and go home
"Uh, I just wanted to apologize and clear the air between us."
And Santa Clause is real!
"Kendrick, the Kendrick Gabriel, apologizing? This is gold."
I take a pastry from the table behind me and wait for him to speak
"You aren't going to make this easy for me are you?" He asks, I shake my head 'no'
"On the bright side, nobody else is here to listen to you stutter out a pathetic apology." I shrug
"You really know how to get on my nerves." He says clenching his jaw
"It's a gift. So, let's hear that apology." I smirk
He moves close to me until there is almost no distance between us. I swallow my pastry hard and my eyes are about to pop out by the way they are so wide as he inches closer.
What are you doing? I wanna ask but my voice is failing me right now
"Uh... w-wha..." is all that manages to come out of my voicebox
"What's the matter? Are you scared?" He smirks the devil that he is
Ha! Scared of you? Boy dream on....
"Should I be?"
I need water, my throat is getting hella dry each passing second
"You look beautiful."
I'm almost tempted to roll my eyes. He thinks he can waltz in here and give me a couple of compliments and I miraculously soften up? You've got a to try way harder than that mister.
"I know and you're supposed to be apologizing."
I gather strength and push him away from me. Crossing my arms over my chest, I wait for him to speak. I have got much more important matters to deal with, I don't need this immature behaviour
Girl, shut up...
"Well, I am sorry."
That's it? No further explanation? You know, some might say that he's saying it just for the sake of saying it. I am some, some is me.
"Apologies don't work that way Gabriel. What exactly are you apologizing about?"
Because I can think of a couple of things you should be sorry about
"Are you serious right now?"
"I don't joke Ken."
