Dear November,
It hit me today that I was in love.
Of course, not with a person. No, with something else: a career, a profession, even a lifestyle. I realized that extracurricular band events were so much more than school concerts, they were in an entire different class of their own. It was today that I felt that I wanted to do this, to play music in concerts and band festivals with complete strangers for the rest of my life. I don't know if my feeling will change, but right now, I feel sure and solid that I live for the long rehearsals and sweaty palms before auditions and weeks of practice and sidelong grins that come with band.
It's ridiculous, like an elementary school crush come to light.
I sort of love it.
Sincerely, Esther
p.s. what are you in love with?
