The brunette looked up to see a beautiful blue-eyed blonde boy standard over him, with his hand held out. Colby took the blonde's hand, as he helped the brunette up.

The two boys looked each other in the eyes, admiring each other's features. Colby noticed that the blonde boy was a bit shorter than him. He also noticed that the blonde's hair looked so soft, that the brunette wanted to brush his hands through the shorter's hair.

The blonde, noticed that the taller's hair, was a chocolate brown colour, and looked as soft as a cloud. He also noticed the brunette's piercings, and cut on the left eye.

"U-uhm I'm Sam b-by the way." The blonde told the brunette. "C-Colby." The shorter male couldn't help but look at the taller's scar. He wanted to know how he got it, but didn't ask. He didn't want to sound rude. "Do you want to g-go to the nurse's office? I saw what that g-guy did to you."

The brunette was shocked. No one has ever been this nice to him. Except for his mother. She is never home though. Because of her job, she has to leave the country from time to time, and it's usually for 6-8 months per year.

"Y-yeah. C-could you h-help me? I d-don't know if I'll be a-able to w-walk." The blonde nodded, but then told the brunette, "I'm new to this school, s-so I don't know w-where it is."  "I'll t-tell you th-the way." Sam nodded his head again, then helped Colby walk to the nurse's office.

"Th-thanks Sam. No o-one is ev-ever th-this nice to me, so I'm su-surprised th-that you are being l-like this." The brunette could feel a small blush creep up onto his face.

"Why aren't people n-nice to you? You seem like a nice p-person." It was now the blonde's turn to feel a small blush creep up on his face.

The two boys were in the nurse's office. Colby laying on a bed, and Sam sitting on a chair. They were talking for what felt like minutes. But then they heard the bell for lunch period go.

"It's already lunch?" The two boys were shocked by how fast the time flew by. The school nurse came into the room, and told Colby, that he was free to leave.

"Hey Colby? Do you want to come to my house after school?" The blonde asked. "Um. I probably can't. My dad won't let me." The brunette looked down at his comment. He knew that his father would not allow him. "Oh. It's alright. Could I at least have your number?" Colby nodded his head in agreement. They quickly exchanged numbers, then headed to the cafeteria.

"Hey look! Brock's got himself a boyfriend!" One of the popular jocks named Jake called out. "How does he have a boyfriend if he doesn't even have any friends?" Another jock named Nathan yelled.

"Don't listen to them, Colby. I'm your friend." The blonde assured the brunette. "Hey Brock. I see you're feeling better from our little fight this morning." The jock Brennen said, coming up to the two boys.

"Yes he is. Now can you please leave us alone. He didn't do anything to hurt you so there is no reason to hurt him." The blonde didn't have a very high chance in winning a fight against the taller, stronger, male. But he still tried to defend his new friend.

"What did you just say to me you f*cking pipsqueak?" Brennen looked at the small boy from head to toe. "I said leave him the f*ck alone!" After that, the whole room fell silent.

"Oh sh*t" The blonde said under his breath, while looking down at the ground. There layed, a knocked out Brennen...
