Piper picked up the girl and ran straight for the infirmary. She knew she shouldn't have left Nico there, all alone. But, she had to save the girl. The brunette knew Nico, he would kill the hellhound somehow. As she eared the archery fields, Will ran up to her, a worried look on his face.

'Piper, what happened to her?' He asked, already examining the girl's wounds.

'Hellhound, Nico said that she's going to die if you don't treat her immediately.' The daughter of Aprodhite said. At Nico's name, Will's blue eyes turned dark and set rigid.

'Austin and Michael, take the girl to the emergency room, NOW. Kayla, Ivory and Anna, GO WITH THEM.' Will yelled, telling his fellow campers. The two boys carried the girl and rushed off to the infirmary. Once the three girls left with them, Will turned to Piper, 'Nico? Where is he?'

'In the forest, he said he'd find a way to kill the hellhound.' She replied, gulping. She could only imagine what the son of Apollo was going through. Loving someone that much was a blessing and a curse.

Was Nico going to be ok? No Piper, don't think like that. It's Nico, he survived Tartarus, he can survive a hellhound.

'Piper, go inside and see if you can help. We'll need all the hands we have to save her.' Will said as the girl nodded.

'Alright, What about you?'

'Nico.' He said and he ran off in the forest's direction.

The medic entered the forest, behind him campers were running around and gathering near the infirmary.

But none of that mattered, all that mattered was Nico, Will knew that his siblings would save the girl. As he went deeper into the lush woodland, he saw something glimmer in the sunlight. Nico's ring, the one he always used to twist around and play with when he got stressed.

The blond knelt down and picked it up. Holding it to his chest, he stood up and ran faster than he'd ever ran before. It was like his legs moved on his own and step by step, he came closer to his angel. His angel of death.

'Nico, Nico. Where are you?' He muttered frantically, putting the ring in his pocket. Then Will saw him, his Nico laying on the floor, slipping away to the shadows. Nico's hair was a mess, his eyes closed, the boy's porcelain skin marked with scars becoming so lifeless... so transparent... It was too much for Will, the girl, the hellhound, this boy who he loved so so much, it hurt... He fell to his knees as tears streamed down his cheeks.

'Nico, stay with me. Stay with me, Nico. Please.' He said between sobs, picking up the son of Hades in his arms. Running off to the infirmary, the blue-eyed boy kept muttering as if the words were some sort of mantra.

'Nico, please. I don't know how I'll live without you, Nico please. Come back.' The boy entered the infirmary and laid him down on the bed. Will fed him ambrosia, he gave him nectar, unicorn draught. All sorts of medicines, but nothing helped. His Nico, he was slipping away, losing consciousness and he couldn't do anything.

Will knew that Nico was regaining energy, but raising skeletons had been too much of a toll on his body.

'Oh Nico, come back. Stay with me, Sunshine, please.' He muttered, sitting down on the chair, head buried in his hands. Will wiped at his eyes, bloodshot and red from all the crying. He barely even noticed Percy and Annabeth come inside the room. He heard Percy say, 'Nico, you're like my little brother. I can't lose you too...' The son of Poseidon stopped here and then took a deep breath, 'I'm sorry, Neeks. I'm so sorry.'

Annabeth put a comforting hand on his shoulder and whispered to Nico's still body, 'Fight the shadows, Nico. We all know you can do it.'

The couple left the room, overwhelmed by the boy's condition. People came and went, said words of comfort to Nico. Maybe they were trying to convince themselves the son of Hades would be ok, maybe they were telling the boy he had to come back. Whatever it was, Will simply sat there through it all.

He sat through Jason cursing and slamming his fist onto the bedside table, before bursting into tears.

He looked on as Piper gulped and winced as she saw Nico, the boy who was like her brother.

He watched as Hazel cried over her brother, who was slowly and surely becoming more and more transparent. He watched as Reyna cursed and screamed, swearing to torture that stupid hellhound and send it back to Tartarus a million more times. He watched as timid yet brave Frank wiped away the tears as he looked at Nico.

He sat through Coach Hedge say something like, 'Alright, cupcake. You better come back here before little Chuck has to grow up without his uncle.'

Will sat through all of it and finally, he said, 'Nico, I love you. I love you so much and I can't lose you. I won't.'
