"So, hi guys. It has been a while since I have done a live with you all or even the other boys, but I have an announcement to make that I think you all need to know. Jungkook gazed into the camera of his phone watching the comments whirl past him. It was true. There had been no lives for the last couple of months from any of the members, making the fans anxious to know if they were healthy and safe. Now, here he was, Jungkook doing a vlive. As you are aware, Jimin and Taehyung have just come back from their mandatory military service together, Jungkook started to speak, fiddling with his fingers, as he tried to form the announcement he was going to tell the fans. Jungkook could see some of the comments about the fans assuming there was going to be a comeback or new album knowing that they were all back together as a group. I could have gone with them both to do my mandatory military service so we would all be together, but I didn't felt ready to go at the time..." Jungkook looked past the camera seeing Y/N giving him a thumbs up, reassuring him that he was doing great. The fans were aware of Jungkook dating you and the fans were quite used to seeing you both together doing vlives, but Jungkook had insisted to you that he wanted to do the live on his own. The rest of his band members had wanted to help him with the vlive, but he knew he had to do it on his own.

Jungkook decided to take a minute before he spoke again to the fans. Jungkook watched some of the comments that were flying quickly past him. Comments off the fans showing love and appreciation for him. Comments encouraging Jungkook to tell them about his announcement. Jungkook was ready to start talking to the fans again. " I felt I was too young at the time to go and I didn't feel like it was the right time for me to go, Jungkook rambled on staring aimlessly at the camera. Jungkook knew it was now or never. "However, now I feel like it is the right time to join up to do my mandatory military service," He stopped. A strangled cry came out of his throat. "God I'm s-o sorry Army." Jungkook cried as he pulled his black hoodie over his hands wiping his eyes with his hoodie as he tried to pull himself together. Jungkook felt a nudge to his side and looked up to see that you had come over to hand him a tissue before walking back to where you had been watching Jungkook before.

Jungkook made sure he got himself together, wiping the silent tears that were falling down his cheeks. "I encouraged the boys to do a new comeback along with new music without me being present while I'm away doing my mandatory military service. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see his fans protesting about the new comeback without him. It took a while to persuade the boys to do a new comeback and music without me, but I wanted them to do it without me. It is my personal decision. I won't change my mind about this. I'm sorry that you won't get to see me perform, but I promise you that you are in my heart and I will be watching from wherever I am the boys and you Army." Jungkook responded to the vast majority of questions asking the same thing. He was now happy that he had told the fans, but he knew that some of the fans wouldn't be happy with what he had said but it was his personal choice. Nobody could change his mind now. It was done. Jungkook was going to the military.

"I think I am going to end this live now. Thank you ARMY for coming to the live today. I hope you respect the decisions I have made and I hope that you are excited about the new comeback. Thank you for joining me. Stay safe and healthy. I love you. Bye." Jungkook made finger hearts before waving goodbye to facing the camera. After he had waved goodbye, Jungkook turned the vlive on. It was on. Jungkook stretched out on the couch he had been sat on while he was doing the vlive.

"I'm proud of you, you know Kookie" Y/N came over to sit next to Jungkook watching you as you made your way to sit next to him. I'm going to miss you a lot when you do go to the military, but I know telling the fans was going to be the hardest part of it all. But you know Jungkook? These fans will still be here with you when you do come back. They will never leave this fandom and will always wait for you no matter what. There was once an ARMY, always an Army. They love you Jungkook. Forever and always." Jungkook was now sat up, gazing over at his girlfriend. "Y/N are you sur-?." "Yes, Jungkook. I'm sure. No matter what happens." Y/N interrupted him. Jungkook smiled, knowing that the fans would still be there no matter what happened. No matter what happened Jungkook thought.
