Y/N sighed, letting out a big sigh before turning the tv off. For the past couple of days, you had been trying to distract yourself by watching repeats of your favourite shows on the tv. It was just you alone in the house that you shared with your boyfriend Hoseok. Hoseok was away, doing his military service, and had been away for nearly six months. You missed him so much and couldn't wait until he was back from his compulsory military service. As he was six months in, Hoseok was now allowed to take annual leave meaning that he was able to come for a few days before having to go back. However, Hoseok was unable to get permission from his superior and wasn't able to come home as planned making you dishearted when you heard. Y/N had been looking forward to Hoseok coming home but knew that she would have to wait longer until he was allowed home.

You got up from the couch and went your way to the kitchen so you could go and wash the dishes that were stacking up. You made sure that you had hot, soapy water before grabbing a sponge to wash the dirty dishes. Once all the dishes were cleaned, you dried them off before throwing away the dirty water and leaving the sponge on the side of the taps of the sink. After you had put the plates away, you decided to clean around the kitchen making it clean and tidy. There wasn't much to do, considering there was only you in the house, but you made sure that you kept on top of the housework. Hoseok was a clean freak and make sure that everywhere was clean and tidy so you knew you had to keep on top.

You were busy cleaning the kitchen counter when you heard a familiar voice coming from the door of the kitchen. "I think my habits have been growing on you ever since I left Y/N." Y/N turned towards the presence of the voice where it was coming from the entrance of the kitchen. Standing at the door was your boyfriend. Hoseok. But how? Y/N put down her cloth on the kitchen counter before making her way over to her boyfriend. "Wha-t, what are you doing here? I thought you were unable to come home." Y/N said to Hoseok as she made her way over to him. Hoseok noticed the movement you were making in the kitchen, smirking at you as he met you halfway in the kitchen. You grabbed Hoseok into a hug, breathing in the familiar scent of your boyfriend. You had missed him so much. "God, I have missed you so much. I missed seeing your face every morning. But you are here now." Hoseok spoke softly, still in the embrace with you as he grabbed a piece of your hair wrapping it around his finger letting it curl as it fall.

"You said you weren't coming Hoseok. You said you didn't get approval off your sup-." You tried to finish your sentence off, before Hoseok looked up at you and pressed a finger to your lips silencing you making you unable to finish your sentence. Hoseok snuggled closer to you, not letting you get out, but you weren't complaining. It was inevitable that both of you had both missed each other. "I don't want to talk about the military. I just want to spend a few days with you. Just me and you." Hoseok answered you back, kissing you on the forehead, before pulling out of the embrace making his way over to sit on one of the kitchen chairs.

You followed Hoseok and made your way to sit on one of the chairs. Hoseok took off his military hat and put it on the counter as you were making your way to sit in the other chair next to him. Hoseok was in his military uniform, the South Korea flag displayed proudly on the arm of his shoulder. "You are different, you know.. I don't know what it is tho?." Y/N admitted to her boyfriend. Hoseok gazed at his girlfriend with confusion. "Different how? I can't have changed that much in six months of me being away Y/N. Hoseok chuckled, trying to make you laugh, as you tried to figure out what was different. However, I probably speak differently from how I used to talk like Y/N, but I'm still the same person. I haven't changed. I am still the same person who left six months ago. Speaking as this has now becme a habit I can not unfix. I'm still your hope. Hope right here." Hoseok pointed at himself before beaming cheerfully at his girlfriend, watching as you started to chuckle at how adorable your boyfriend was. He was your little hope and sunshine.

"Come on Y/N. Let's go and watch a movie. Come on." Hoseok grabbed your hand, both of you making your way to the living room, where you waited for Hoseok as he grabbed the remote, before cuddling you on the couch. "Are you ready to start the movie Y/N?" Hoseok was ready to press the button on the remote before you stop him. "You didn't answer my question from before. You said you weren't able to come home for a few days. How did you get home?." Y/N questioned her boyfriend, finally able to finish and find out the question she had been dying to know since her boyfriend had come home. "I was allowed to come home, but I wanted it to be a surprise for you," Hoseok mumbled in response, hoping that you weren't able to hear what he had said.

"Hoseok! You lightly gave your boyfriend a shove, causing him to jump taken back by the sudden attack. "Hey Y/N, what was that for?" Hoseok responded to you, rubbing the area where you had shoved. "You. I can't believe you kept this a secret from me. You can never keep secrets from me. How did you keep it away from me?" Y/N answered her boyfriend back, looking at him, seeing a slight smirk forming on his face. "But I wanted to surprise you. I wanted it to be a total surprise. I just wanted to surprise you Y/N. Hoseok replied, pushing your hair out of the way before kissing you on the cheek. Now, come on, I want to start this movie before we waste any more time of today. I want to make these next couple of days the best moments in my life." Hoseok pressed the button on the remote, the movie finally starting as you both cuddled into each other, ready to enjoy the next few days together.
