Girls Lavatory Talks

Apparently Missy had left out of few things about this so called secret passage. The main one being how to get into it. Everyday Juliette would go down to her window and try to get the magical wall to open up so she could see exactly why Dumbledore didn't want her going down it but she could never figure it out. It soon became obvious that there was a reason she wasn't put into Ravenclaw. Too quickly, the first month of school passed and the wall remained unmoving before her, taunting her each morning as she sipped her tea. It's mere existence impinged on her morning routine and made her once enjoyable morning routine become a haunting unsolvable puzzle.

It was when the second week of October started that Juliette realized that maybe Missy had been lying to her. Maybe it was all just a ruse started by the house elf for who knows what reason. Juliette realized that she needed to subdue her additicion and just enjoy the rest of the year (Ha! You believed that didn't you?). Juliette was not in the least bit ready to give up, but the professors weren't leaving her a lot of room to experiment.

The professors had gone into the year full throttle, most students had at least six hours of homework each night. Why they decided to band together and thrust such a large amount of work on them, Juliette didn't know, but just beacuse they had homework doesn't mean that they did it. Somehow even some of the most studious kids weren't getting the work done. For instance Molly, who normally was always on top and ahead of her school work, had fallen way behind. Well, falling behind by regular standards. Like everyone else Molly had stopped doing many of the miscellaneous busy work assigned, but unlike everyone else Molly didn't need to do the work. She just understood it.

Something was changing with Molly. Midway through summer she cut her hair really short and got a nose ring yet somehow managed to keep up her good girl look with her parents. Don't get Juliette wrong, getting a nose ring doesn't suddeny change you. I mean it gives you a cool girl appearance and makes you a badass, but that's beside the point. It's the fact that Molly got a nose ring because if you are Molly Prewett, a nose ring is a big thing. It's not like she changed durastically, but the warm loving moments the two used to have were slowly becoming a thing of the past. Molly was suddenly set on reinventing herself. Juliette would have bet all her money that if the school didn't require uniforms Molly would be wearing her leather jacket all day. Again, Juliette didn't hate her look in the slightest, just the attitude change that came with it. Don't get her started on Molly's nasty habbit of smoking cigs with her friend Andy. As the younger sister everyone expected Juliette to tattle, but in fear of losing her friendship with her sister, she kept her mouth shut. Instead, she bribed Molly and got her to help her pierce her ears. Which in case you were wondering looked fantastic.

Despite Juliette's dislike for Molly's new 'tude, Juliette was reaching a point where she was debating asking for her sister's help (or at least her brother's). You see, despite being really behind in pretty much everything, Juliette wasn't too worried. Missy had sent her on a quest, albet accidentally, but a quest nonetheless. And the quest took precedence. Juliette was determine to open the secret passage door and explore whatever it had to offer. So far, Juliette hadn't had any luck in finding any information on how to open the door, but she knew someone must know how, otherwise why would the brick have been moved in the first place? It's not like Dumbledore would spend his afternoons strolling through dusty secret passageways, he was Headmaster! Dumbledore would strut down the main corridors his cloak billowing behind him! Anyways, to sum it all up, Juliette had come to terms with the fact that she needed help (which according to health providers is a good step in the right direction).

This is what led Juliette to sneaking around her friends and making her way to the one person that knew the school better than anyone, the Magnificent and Malicious Moaning Myrtyl. Myrtyl was most famous for her moaning and scaring everyone away from the second floor lavatory, but what most people didn't know is that Myrtyl was a huge gossip. After Juliette got hit with a dungbomb in her first year (by Bellatrix Black that bitch) she took refugee in Myrtyl's bathroom, where she met the ghost for the first time.

At first, Myrtyl tried to scare the girl but after seeing Juliette crying and hearing about the situation, Myrtyl let loose everything she had gathered about dear little Bella. Turns out, that Bellatrix had been cheating on her betrothed Rodolphus Lestrange with Edward Selwyn, a different member of the Sacred 28. This wasn't important news to Juliette (who honestly could care less) but it was information that she traded with her brothers in order to get them to help her embarrass the two by making both of their hair turn red and gold when they got near each other. A little bit of house pride never hurt anyone. That passing of information sparked a lasting friendship between the two full of gossip and excitement; and inevitably led Juliette to the second floor lavatory to request some assistance to the self proclaimed 'Queen of Hogwarts,' (Juliette was pretty sure that title belong to Minnie but she wasn't going to arguee with Myrtyl).

"M, you here? I brought news and Witch Weekly."

The shy ghost popped out of a toilet and floated down to the edge of the sink next to Juliette. "Jewels! It has been too long, you've only stopped by once this year. Got yourself a boyfriend to take up your time? Ha! I know you don't, the barron would have told me. I keep tabs on you you know."

Juliette's eyes followed Myrtyl as she floated across the room to the bench that the two commonly frequented. Why was there a bench in the lavatory? It's Hogwarts. The founders were some classy bitches. Juliette followed Myrtyl Witch Weekly loosely hanging in her hand.

"I knew you must of sent one of the ghosts after me. I don't think you've left the lavatory in ages. You just stay between here and the Prefect's bathroom don't you?"

Myrtyl's faced turned pale, blushing in the way only ghosts could.

"You are pretty horny for a ghost, you know that, right?" Juliette took a seat on the bench getting herself comfortable before laying Witch Weekly out next to her and turning her attention to Myrtyl. "As much as I'd love to catch up, I am here on bussiness."

Myrtyl fluttered down onto the bench, hovering above it as her eyes scanned the page of the magazine. She looked up at Juliette's words before turning her attention back to the magazine."Figures, at least you thought to bring a present. I have been dying to find out what happened to Frantic Magic after the two lead singers broke up, I mean how could they work together after soemthing that tramatic, I just—"

"M, darling, as much as I'd love to hear about your Frantic Magic theories I have something to ask you."

Myrtyl rolled her eyes, "Of course you do. Now could you turn to page 3 it has a two page spread on the band."

Juliette closed the magazine and Myrtyl quickly flew up in a panic erupting the toilets and sinks around Juliette as she sat calmly on the bench. "M, I am serious, stop being so melodramatic and listen to me for a second."

After a few moments Myrtyl calmed down and came back to Juliette. "How serious are we talking here? Ciara and Gin and fighting again serious or serious serious?"

Juliette smiled at her friend before shaking her said softly. "I guess it's not serious, but I am at the point where my curisoity is getting the better of me."

Myrtyl rustled the wind around Juliette as she waited in anticipation. "Jewels, tell me, anything about the outside world in entertaining, even if it's from the deep corners of your mind."

"Well M, I guess I am here to talk about something pretty old. Something I'm sure you've learned about."

"Get on with it, you're boring me and I have gossip to read."

"Um, well. How much do you know about the Founders?"

Myrtyl fell through the bench.

I had late night inspiration after forgetting about this story. Whoops. This is a chaotic chapter as they all will be until I finally make my way to the acutal conflict of the story. Also, I love Myrtyl, don't know if that's how you spell it but too bad!
