Ssing's Pov

She ran past me like I was nothing, like I was invisible..

What is wrong with this woman?

I turned to look at her as she stopped in front of Kay.

" Kay, I'm really sorry to bother you, but can you please take me home? I'll explain later.. but please ? "

What?

She wouldn't go when I asked her to and now she's asking Kay to drive her? I mean I'm the closer friend here..!

I scoffed in disbelief as I walked to where they were,

" Kay, actually it's okay. I can take her home. " I said, smiling at Kay, in which he just looked at me and Jan back and forth, confusingly.

" Jan, We need to talk. " I said as I grabbed her arm tightly.

" I said I don't want to-

" But I want to and you want to see who's more persistent? I'm not letting you go until you tell me what the hell is going on with you lately! " I raised my voice in frustration.

I mean I was getting really frustrated, she's been acting really weird lately and I don't understand why it seems to be only directed to me!

" Okay.. Sorry guys.. Sorry Jan, I think you guys should work this out between yourselves.. I don't want to get involved. " Kay said as he raised his hands up signing that he was going to back out.

" And dude Ssing, Calm down.. I've never seen you like this but.. seriously man, calm down.. talk to her nicely. " He added before going off with his car.

I looked at Jan and she was grunting and mumbling something under her breath that I could not really hear.

I sighed as I grabbed her shoulders,
" Don't be like this Jan.. We've been friends for a long time and you know it. Whatever's the problem, we can always talk about it. Don't leave me in the dark like this. "

She started to tear up as her face softened.
" Do you wanna talk about it over dinner? I did promise you food after all.. " I said tilting my face to tease her.

" F-Fine.. " I chuckled at her cuteness, she has a love for food that cannot be compared, seriously.

Once we got into the restaurant, I ordered all her favorite food since she was just sitting there, not muttering a single word.

I sighed as I grabbed her hands,
" Jan. Seriously, tell me what's wrong."

Jan's Pov

I stared at him for quite a long time before removing his hands away from mine,

Please don't touch me like that so often if you're just going to say it's an act again.

I kept going back and forth between telling him or not. I feel like I should.. so that he'd stop doing all those things.

But I'm selfish because even if it hurts, I still want to be near him and do all those things we've been doing.

I'm selfish because I don't want to stop..

Even when I know this is wrong. Even when I know I broke the rule.

I smiled trying to reassure him,
" Sorry about that okay? I'm actually fine now. I was just having.. personal girl problems.. nothing big.. you know! Nothing food can't fix! " I faked a smile again, laughing to lighten up the mood.

I know he wouldn't believe me but I still gave it a shot. And I was right, he looked at me with uncertainty,

" I know you're not telling me the complete truth right now.. but i'm not going to force you.

Just don't.. don't say you don't want to talk or see me ever again.. "
He said sincerely as he looked down.

I was surprised.. does he mean he wants me to talk and see him often? I stared at him with a million questions in my eyes but not a single word came out of my mouth.

Why are you doing this to me Ssing? Why are you making me feel this way..? The way I promised to not feel..

I closed my eyes and tried to recompose myself, then I smiled brightly,
" Oh.. is little Ssing here saying that he always wants to see my beautiful face and hear my mesmerizing voice..? " I teased as I tried to change the atmosphere. I leaned in and made funny faces at him.

" Yeah, that's exactly what I'm saying. You're finally smart for once.. " He got up and leaned in to face me too, while messing with my hair.

I gulped and blushed as I slowly sat back down.

Why is it so hot in here?

Ssing chuckled as he looked at me,

" Ah. The food is here, eat all you want today.. I promise that I won't call you names. "

" Remember that! " I leaned in as I pointed at his face, then I started digging in.

I was eating normally when I looked up and saw a familiar girl behind Ssing's back.
I choked a little, which startled Ssing as he tried to give me water,

" Hey.. Are you okay? Here have some water. "

I took the water while still coughing,
" Thanks. "
I gulped down all the water while still staring at that girl.

Oh shit! What the hell? She's coming!

I looked up from my food in slow motion, making Ssing look at me weirdly,

" Dude, what the hell are you even staring at? " He said as he turned to the direction I was staring at.

Not long after, he got up and went to greet the girl I said was familiar.

They know each other?

I was just staring at them, still on my seat, when they suddenly pulled each other into a hug.

I flinched uncomfortably as I tried to make sense of what I was seeing.

I think she's familiar but are they that close to be hugging and all? I thought I knew all Ssing's friends..

After they hugged, they kept talking there as if they were the only ones in the restaurant. It was taking longer than it should be, so I kept glancing at the clock.

It was getting really late, and they were still talking.

I mean hello? Your friend is still here Ssing..

A few more minutes passed and they were still talking, Ssing seemed to have forgotten I was here ever since he and that girl talked.

Since it was getting even later than before, I decided to go home first.

I wanted to go up to him and tell him that, but I stopped myself, seeing that he was having a good time talking to her already.

I walked away with a heavy heart, putting the money on the restaurant table.

It's like god is playing a joke on you huh Jan? Whether you tell him or not, it won't change the fact that he'll never see you as more than a friend or a fantasy partner.
