Date night

It's been a month sconce I last saw Jo and I'm so glad she's joking me in London this time. More times than not I go to LA as it normally makes more sense, I can normally get some things done work wise and see people who I know who live in LA like Anna and Jamie. Both Jo and I have been so busy with work we haven't been able to see each other so when she finally had a few free days I begged her to join me in London, she agreed quickly of course.

My phone buzzes with a text from Jo

"Just landed  see you soon xo"

I smile at the text and quickly text her back

"I'm sorry I couldn't pick you up but i had to finish this thing for work. I love you see you in 30"

I may have told Jo a slight lie about having a work thing. I didn't want to pick her up because I wanted to make sure everything was perfect at the apartment. You see I'm making the apartment into a perfect couples paradise. Roses...check.  Move the bed from bedroom to living room  so it's facing the  glass window wall and London view.... check. (That one was not easy)  Candles...check. Every type of her favorite food....check. Cozy blankets and computer for Netflix....check. I haven't put this much work into something in a long time but Jo's worth it. I'm doing it also because I missed our 8 month anniversary and I feel so bad. I sent her flowers that day but not being with her I felt guilty so I'm hoping this will make up for it. I'm finishing up things when I hear my door knob jingle...she's here

"Baby, I'm here!" She yells as she walks down the hallway.

"Living room babe!" I yell back

"Hey why.....What is this?!" She gasps

"Surprise!" I grin as I walk towards her

"Hero seriously oh my god this is just......" she says before leaning in to kiss me

I pull away "I felt bad about missing our anniversary and you deserve this" I sigh as I push a piece of hair behind her ear.

"I love you" I smiles her drop dead beautiful smile

"I love you more" I say as I lean back down to kiss her. We stand there kissing for I don't know how long before I pull away realizing her suitcases were still sitting next to us.

"Here let me move these out of the way and then I'm really hoping you're hungry." As say as I move the luggage to the wall and take her hand in mine.

"You moved the freaking bed?!" She giggles

"Um yeah I know how much you love this view and my couch is awfully small so I moved the mattress out here so we could look at the view" I state

"You..are incredible" she smiles as she runs her hands down my chest

"I'd do anything for you baby" I smirk

"You mentioned food earlier?" She says

"Yes I didn't know what to get so I got us a bit of everything of your favorites" I smile as I grab us some paper plates so we can dish out the food.

"You just thought of everything didn't you" she giggles

"I hope so" I say as I scratch my neck

We talk about what we've been doing and memories while we eat. When we're finished I take all our trash to the kitchen and throw it away before rejoining Jo. But when I get back she's not there.

"Jo?" I say loudly

"One second babe I'm in the bathroom,I have a surprise for you also" she says in a way only she can

My surprises normally end well very well. I can't wait

I turn on the computer, find Jo's favorite movie and crawl onto the bed and wait for Jo. It's not long before I hear her feet pattering behind me.

She leans over and puts her hands over my eyes.

"You ready baby?" She whispers in my ear

I'm more than ready

"Yes" I say trying to his my eagerness

She giggles and walks in front of me. I'm greeted with Jo standing in my favorite lingerie.

I can't help but groan while I sit there and stare at her.

"I was just thinking it's been a while...." she says as she crawls over to me

"It has hasn't it" I say before connecting my lips to hers. I push the computer out of the way as I lay her down under me.

For the next two hours we get lost in each other making up for the last month of not seeing each other.

Tangled up in each other in the aftermath I switch in the computer putting it in a place so we could also enjoy the view of London behind it.

"I love you, even if you hadn't done all of this" Jo breaks our silence

"I love you too that's why I did all of this" I say as I pull her closer, if that's even possible .

We stay curled up watching the movie until both of us fall asleep peacefully.
