Adeline was just a little girl with her family in their house. She was an only child so it was just her and her parents. Her dad likes to drink a lot and abuse my mom and me. All throughout school, no one talked to me. That's when she became a mute...
Adeline As I got home from school, I saw my mother standing in the kitchen with a bunch of bags. I didn't care though. I can feel the tears pricking my eyes as I go to her and hug her. She returns my hug and we just...hug each other until she pulled away. She was in a different outfit than what she would normally wear. It was green and camouflage...? I look at her with wide eyes. "Sweetheart, there's something I need to talk to you about..." she says, sitting down at the table. I listen to her as she explains what she needed to talk about. "This outfit I'm wearing is my uniform. I'm joining the military." she says "B-but I don't understand...people who join the military have to leave for a very long time...will you be staying here?" I ask, hoping she stays and doesnt have to go away. "...I have to go away, Addie. But I don't know how long." she says with tears in her eyes. I stare at the ground wide eyed as I just heard my mother say what i didn't want her to say. 'She's leaving...she can't though!' "Take me with you please...I'll be good I promise!" I beg her as the tears stream down my face. "I can't. You need to finish school and the military ground fields aren't for you. I need to protect you, so you will stay. I'm sorry honey." she says with a sad smile. "Please don't leave me with HIM...be safe..." I say through sobs. She looks at me with tears in her eyes. "Honey, I have no choice. I hate saying that to you." She says as she looks at her watch. "I have to leave in a little bit. But before I go, I want you to have something." she says getting up from the table. She goes to her room and walks out with something in her hands. She hands it to me and motions me to open it. I open it to find a locket, identical to mine, but this one has something written on the front. It says: 'I will always be with you, even when I'm not. I need you to be strong. Love, Mom' I open the locket and find a picture of her in there and another part of writing: 'Even though I'm gone, you can still be happy, my sweet Addie... ~Mom' I close it and start crying. My mother hugs me, and I hug her back as I cry even more. 'She's leaving me...I don't want her to leave...' *car horn honks* "P-please...don't leave m-me..." I say between my sobs. "I'm sorry, Addie...I have to...goodbye, I love you." she says, closing the door.

I collapse to the floor and cry harder than ever before. The one person who I cared about the most and the one person I had a reason to live for, left me. I clench the necklace as I'm still crying. 'This isn't happening...this isn't real right? this is all a dream. Wake up...WAKE UP!'
(i added this song because i felt like it just connected with this story, you guys don't have to listen to it.)
----2 hours later---- I've calmed down a bit, but I was still upset. I look at my phone and it says: 5:00pm My stomach growls as I put my phone down. My dad isn't home, thankfully, but I don't know what to eat. I don't feel like cooking either... Maybe I should go to Aaron's house...he knows how to make me feel better. I grab a black hoodie, put my hood on and walk to his house. -----10 minutes later----- I finally arrive at Aaron's house. I didn't think I'd get here sooner to be honest. It felt like I went in circles before I got to his house. I walk up the stairs to his door and ring the doorbell.
Aaron I hear the doorbell ring as I was making chicken alfredo. 'Who could that be?' I made my way to the door and open it. It's Adeline! but she seems different. "May I please come in?" she says with a low voice, as if she lost her voice. "Sure" I step aside to let her in. As i close the door, she hugged me. It came out of nowhere but I hugged her back. That's when I realized she was crying. I pulled her back and look into her eyes. "What's wrong?" I asks
Adeline "What's wrong?" he asks me. I was going to reply but my stomach interupted me. He laughed a bit and said, "You can tell me after you eat." After I eat, I explained everything. How my mom was in weird clothing, how I saw the bags in the kitchen and how she was leaving me. I cried once again after explaining it.
Aaron I feel so bad for Adeline...the one person she cared about left her, but for a good cause. But I couldn't tell her that. Then she'd cry even more. I hate seeing her cry. All I can do is hug her and say "everything will be alright...I'm here...shhhh..." It hurts, I can tell. She has never cried this much in one day, and I could tell she was crying a lot when she found out too.
Adeline As I finally calm down, I let out a yawn and say "I'm tired..." He chuckled and said "that's probably from crying today." "Ya...you have a point..." I say as I yawn again as I lay my head down on something. "If you want I can-" he says but doesn't finish.
Aaron "If you want I can-" I start but couldn't finish. Adeline was closing her eyes as she lays her head on my lap. I feel my face heat up as she finally falls asleep. I look at her, see her chest slowly moving as she's breathing and I can hear her tiny snore. I use my hand and move her hair out of her face. She's really cute...' I then start playing with her hair. Twirling her hair, not even knowing what I'm doing. I get a little embarrassed at what I'm doing and I try to get up without waking her up. I move I get a pillow and set it where I was sitting. As I put the pillow down I lean down and kiss her. I break the kiss, and I start walking away so I don't disturb her. I felt a hand grab my hand and say "Please...don't leave me..." she says through her sleep. I smile and I sit down on the ground and hold her hand. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Wow.
