Nagtipun-tipon na ang lahat ng mga estudyante sa gym. Siyempre naglinyahan kami according to grade at track. Hinanap ko ang section ko- ang STEM 11-Einstein, the top section in the STEM track. When I saw my classmates, napanganga ako sa kanila. I just felt the pressure. Most of them came from elite families who own some of the biggest companies dito sa bansa. Hayssss! Parang ako lang ata ang mahirap dito at nakapasok dahil sa scholarship.
"Hi, my name is Akee!", wika ng isang isang naka glasses na babae sa harapan ko. "Oh, hi. My name is Maxine pala. Just call me Max.", sambit ko naman. Parang siya na ata ang magiging unang friend ko dito. She is so cute. May bangs, chinita, maputi at higit sa lahat she seemed so genius.
"I think, you're new to this school. Right?", sambit niya. "Well, yes. How did you know?", wika ko naman. "You know you look so not familiar in this school. Every student dito, I am familiar with their faces and their grade. Dito na kase ako nag-aral since junior high.", dagdag niya.
"Oh, parang may photographic memory ka ata.", sabi ko. " Well, you got it right girl. I am also very vigilant and sensitive eh. So when the first time, I saw you, I know you could be my friend.", ani niya.
"Hehe, salamat!", sabi ko na parang na shock. I am very thankful kase kahit newbie ako dito eh, may kilala na kaagad ako.
"Good morning, everyone!", sabi ng isang lalake sa podium. Every students became quiet. Ang disiplina nga naman sa school na ito. "One word is enough for a wise man" ika nga nila. The flag ceremony started. Parang ako lang ata ang di naka memorize ng school hymn nila. Damn! I was busy kagabi kasi sa kagagawa ng schedule ko at mga study plans ko. I know I was an excellent student. Kailangang di ako magpapaapi sa kung sinu-sino lang.
Then, someone went to the stage and spoke up. It is the director of the school. On the stage are the faculty teachers, administration staffs, doctors, nurses at iba pang tao na nagtatrabaho sa school. They were introduced by the director. At sa wakas, nagpakilala na rin ang director. "I am Dr. Jose Inocencio de Gordon, the director of this school. I would like to thank everyone for choosing this school as a platform in reaching your dreams in the future. I ensure you that you rightfully choose this school because it will really help you to develop your full potential. Together, we can create possibilities and in the possibilities, we can create positive changes for the development of our Motherland. " Those words struck my self to perform well in this institution.
"I would also like to announce that every year, we chose poor but deserving students outside of the school to be part of the Gordonians.", sabi niya. This year, we carefully selected 5 outside students who were given the privilege to acquire scholarships. Only one got the full scholarship while the other four got partial scholarship. I was overwhelmed by the reactions of the student. Tinanong ko si Akee. She said that every year, the school selects 5 students to be part of the school. However, all of them were given only the partial scholarship because they failed in some areas especially in the interview. Omaygaadddd!
"Now, let me welcome the first student, Mr. Rain Chester Agoncillo, STEM 11- Einstein.
" What!? Classmate ko siya with Akee. "Next, is Ms. Athena Alarcon, STEM 11-Einstein."
"Then, Mr. Ralph Raven Manlapaz, STEM 11- Einstein and the last is Mr. Rowe Mar Espallano, STEM 11- Einstein."
"So all of them got the partial scholarship! And now, let me welcome, for the first time, the studemt who got the full scholarship is Miss Maxine Adelaide Dastarte, also from STEM 11- Einstein. ! Please come on stage for you to be recognized. Please give them a round of applause!"
Akee, full of surprise, just look at me and told me to come up to stage. She is so very happy that she cheered on me.
I could that some students were very happy but some of them felt the hatred and indifference. They looked so mean. Haha! I am an "unbothered queen". Just be jealous and I will be happy. Parang nangangatog ang tuhod ko sa kaba. Pero kinaya ko naman. As soon as I looked up the crowd, my eyes focused on the other side. His handsomeness shined brightly and got my attention. The fvck! He was also in the same section as me. He clapped his hands and just smirked at me.
"Oh, I have an another announcement. My son, also chose to study here and passed. Although, he was given the full scholarship abroad, he chose to study here. Please welcome also, Mr. Roize Aquila de Gordon. "
Everyone gazed to the boy who walked past by the crowd. Everyone was tantalized and strucked by the ice. Oh no! It was HIM. Siya kanina yung tinitilian ng mga babae at siya rin kanina yung nakatitig sa akin. Loud noises and cheers filled up the gym.
As soon as he walked on the stage, he gazed his eyes to me. Those deep gaze can see through me. AND THOSE EYES SECRETLY MELT MY HEART.
