After the opening ceremony, we were told to proceed to our first class. Bonifacio Building Third floor Room 21, that is the location of our room. In fairness, halos lahat ng buildings dito nakapangalan sa mga national heroes while sa mga sections, mga scientists and mathematicians.
Kasabay ko pa rin si Akee. She told me kung anu-anong mga ganap sa loob ng paaralang ito. Mga rules, mga policies, mga secret bullies, mga clubs, high-fashioned chikas at kung anu-ano pa.
Gusto ko attitude niya. Talkative but smart. She knows her place. She even admired me for being the first student na makatanggap ng full scholarship ng director ng school.
As soon as we walked down the corridor, students would look at us especially me and would say something. I don't wanna hear them because I only focus on my goal.
We finally saw our classrom and secured a spot. Syempre, seatmates kami ni Akee. "Max, you know what? This classroom is full of geniuses. I knew some of them especially the son of the director.", gigil na sabi ni Akee.
"Now tell me, who is this Roize Aquila?", taas kilay kong tanong kay Akee.
"Girl, siya lang naman ang natatangi. Riches, power, brains, looks, height, charisma - A PERFECT BOYFRIEND MATERIAL. Lahat na ata ng characteristics ng pagiging isang lalake ay nandun na sa kanya. He is the most famous student here and probably the most followed student here in any social medias."
"The only thing the girls don't like about him is his attitude. Sometimes trashy, sometimes cold. He maybe has the highest pride of all. He doesn't usually talk to show bitterness and disgusts. He usually looks in the eyes that he doesn't like you. Nangungusap yan sa galit at pagkamuhi. That is the reason why people usually call him "RAG"."
"In terms of performance and academics, he is superior. Never yang natalo in any quiz bees and contests outside the school. He has make his name quite famous outside the school. That is why, may mga babae diyan sa labas ng gate na pumupunta rito para makita lang siya."
"Don't ever mess with him or don't ever start trouble with him kung gusto mong makatapos dito sa GIS.", sabi niya while holding my hands.
"Well, he's quite scary and I like that!", patawa kong sabi kay Akee.
"Some of our classmates here are quite known to me.", confidently sabi niya saken while pouting.
"Bakit naman?", alalang tanong ko sa kanya.
"Okay, let me introduce to the different groups here inside this section. "
Bratty Mean Girls
They are four in the group. Names are Atasha, Meenara, Anxi and Veronica. Make up here and there, lipsticks, foundations, liptints, mascaras.... yan ang unang mong makikita sa kanila. Always kilay on fleek and they wore red lipsticks on their lips. They were the daughters of some famous business tycoons here in the country and abroad. Sometimes, they were the bullies in the classroom. Minsan, shitty din yung attitude but they are the queens of project strategies.
Silent Nerds
Anak sila ng mga highly paid professionals dito sa bansa. Well, sila lang yung libro lang ang hawak lagi. Names are Akee, Madeleine, Erica, Dylan, Bryan, Adam at Janzen. Most of them wear thick glasses. They are always reading books and sometimes, doing researches in their laptops. Tahimik lang sila pero halimaw sa recitation at quizzes. They usually do on their own. They don't want to be disturbed.
Loud Gamers
Ito naman ang mga pinakamaingay sa loob ng room. Tang*na, pvtaaaa, fvckkkk. Trashtalk kung trashtalk. Yan lang ang palagi mong maririnig sa mga bibig nila. Squad kase sila. Names are Ezra, Vinvani, Johnson, Harith, JZ at Toey. Sons of the some known web designers and engineers. Pero in fairness, they've got the looks kaya marami ang humahanga sa kanila. Hari man sa trashtalkan pero damn, they often got the best presentation in Powerpoint in every reporting.
The Outsiders
Isa ako sa kanila. Kami naman yung taga ibang school na nakapasok lang dahil sa scholarship. Galing lang naman kami mula sa poor to average na families. Nevertheless, we are never afraid to be bullied. We know our rights and we can even defend ourselves in arguments. Names are Ralph, Rowe, Athena, Rain and of course me, Maxine. We don't usually show off our potentials but we excel in some other aspects especially in outputs and projects.
The Big Four
Sila lang naman ang kinatatakutan ng ibang mga students dito sa room at sa ibang section. They were the children of the high administrative officers sa school including the director. Names are Arc, Cheska, Kagura and of course, Roize - that RAGgy boy. They were known the "The Big Four" because of their parents' power and of course, their charisma to crush anyone who gets in their way. Sila ang palaging magkasama, maybe because they were friends since junior high.
"So yun na nga! The end! Chaaar!", buntong hiningang sabi ni Akee."
"Oh, thank you so much for that info, Akee. You really are the best!", sagot ko sa kanya.
I just don't know why Akee belonged herself to the Silent nerds. Maybe, sa akin lang siya comfortable na makasama.
The bell rang and our first subject teacher came inside our room. The teacher welcomed us and deliberately discuss to us the mission, vision, goals, rules and policies of the school.
