CHAPTER 8-Consequences

Since I didn't have anything planned this morning I decided to go to school early and learn about Horikita's situation on the way.

"So did he let you join?"I asked as I met her at the ground floor of our dorms.

"Yes,honestly I don't think getting into a student council that holds as much power as this one does shouldn be this easy"She answered.Though the mission was a success,she was still unhappy about the situation.

"Did he personally interview you?"I was talking about Nagumo,the current Student council president.

"Yes but I think it was just a formality "

"Obviously,you are his idol's sister after all.He won't miss out on the opportunity to play with you"

But this was the main reason,the other reason was Horikita was cute enough to become one of his playthings.

"Honestly he creeps me out,I seriously don't like the way he is handling the council,the room also looks like Nagumo's personal room"She continued,in a lowered voice.

"I see,then I'll ask further details later"

"Ayanokouji-kun..."

"What?"

"I fully understand why my brother wants to put Nagumo down,Nagumo's ideals clashs with his own ideals and challenges the entire system of this school.I am completely on my brother's side on this....but you seem to have no merit helping him,the Ayanokouji-kun I know will not get into such a troublesome situation.Honestly,I find it hard to believe that you care about the proceedings in the council."

I stared at her as she continued.I was glad this wasn't about what happened on that night,but that conversation will soon continue.Horikita knew now I was worth a lot to someone.

"Did you really change?"

It was obvious that Horikita would question me sooner or later on this.Suddenly I have openly started to aim for class A and at the same time try to maintain the schools system.To be honest I didn't care about both of them.My goal was completely different,it just so happens that to achieve that goal I must show my talents slowly to the public.

"I think so,at least a little bit,I care about my school too you know"

The old Horikita would have shook her head and left it at that.But now it was different,she has changed, for good.

"Stop lying, what is the real reason "

"You could say I owe your brother few things"

"Owe my brother...."

"That's all I can say"

On that note we entered the school.But something was different from before.Last year no girl would even look at me properly,some would be disgusted for some reason.However the 1200 Meter relay and my math score this time changed their perspective.

This time it seems like I have beaten Sakayanagi in Math by 2 points.So attention towards my was expected as I am probably no longer seen as an incompetent nobody

As we approached our floor I saw a bunch of girls looking towards my direction and talking amongst themselves.

"You are quite the star now, aren't you?"Horikita said as she also had observed the phenomenon

"It was only one subject,for any student this shouldn't be a big deal"

"Sadly your opinions don't matter in the real world"

With that Horikita entered the classroom
From this floor I was able to see the ground floor of the school with great detail.I watched as Kushida walked in with a bunch of friends.I noticed something interesting....

"Heya~Ayanokouji-kun "Ichinose walked up to me cheerfully.

"Hey"

"What werw you looking at?"

"Nothing ,I suppose I was just spacing out before you came up to me"

"Aah I see..."

This is awkward

I hadn't really talked with Ichinose for a while ,the last I did was during the spring break and at that time I played some rather intimate moves on her to boost her and bring her back to the fight.

Of course she could've just left,but apparently she wanted talk more,before she could ask me about my math mark I quickly decided to shift the topic

"You wore the orange perfume once again huh?I haven't got a chance to tell this before but it smells nice"

Immediately her face turned beet red,and she stiffened herself.I thought it was normal among girls to discuss about their accessories.Maybe she was suprised about a boy asking these things.Maybe I should have kept quiet.

"What happened.."

"No ..no it's nothing...looks like we are running out of time I'll take my leave then.."

Ichinose hurriedly left to her class

We still had 15 minutes until classes start,seeing that she did not thank me,I felt I had said something unnecessary

After finishing school for the day ,I didn't meet up with the Ayanokouji group and headed straight home.

I noticed messages from three people
Two of which I had to delete
Airi
Horikita
And for some reason Ryuuen

This time Ayanokouji-kun had caused quite the buzz during this exam.A 100 in this test was a humongous achievement,it seems more people in my class had started to notice him.Mostly girls.

"Hey,don't you think class D's Ayanokouji is my type"

"I think he would make a great boyfriend he is actually pretty hot isn't he?"

For some reason hearing all this from other girls pained my chest.

I decided to talk with him myself today.

I stood outside class D waiting for him.I didn't want to particularly ask him about his mark.He was surely smart.I just thought it's been quite a while since I talked to him.Thinking about that day still makes my chest tight

He came up with Horikita-San,usually I would not mind talking with both of them but ......for some reason I wanted to talk with him and him only.

Once I saw him alone I approached him
"Heya~ Ayanokouji-kun "

"Hey"

So what was it that I wanted to talk about.Oh no.I completely forgot how to go with the flow....

"What were you looking at?"
This will do

"Nothing ,I suppose I was just spacing out before you came up to me"

"Aah I see..."

How to I continue?As I was going to talk about his mark

"You wore the orange perfume once again huh?I haven't got a chance to tell this before but it smells nice"

What...what?he noticed
Many people noticed this before....why am I getting flustered.
I knew why,I just didn't want to accept it....I wore the perfume for him to notice me

I have to think of an excuse to get out of this situation
