"All life is a foreign country." - Jack Kerouac
I think it's time for a change,
to find someplace new.
This state is draining me,
soon I'll hit the floor comatose
from an overdose
of overbearing stability.My feet hit the sands of time
as the sun blazes above,
shadows paving my path
through rain, tears, and sweat;
through dust, smoke, and bones,
onwards to a new Mason-Dixon
of discovery.Lead me to the unknown
crimson screen of something
entirely new, entirely foreign.
There's no minute to rest,
no minute to pray;
no minute to rest,
the new dawn eclipses the future.
