We are still on jasrah's POVI quickly poured the powdered substance given to me by hajjo into a basin in my toilet I opened the tap and flushed it away, I can't do this I can't murder a soul, never in my life time.
I half-raced to my bedside drawer and grab my note pad, realising that I haven't update it since day before yesterday. I opened the empty page and wrote all what happened today.
I purposely use this notepad to write all the life am living in my matrimonial home right from the very day I stepped into this house, I never leave any event unwritten."Assalamu Alaikum Amarya!" I heard faruq's voice from the parlour.
"Wa alaykumussalam Ango zee" I half-yelled and quickly take my notepad back to the bedside drawer and strolled to the parlour,
" Amarya I followed your irfam to eat your food today, pls serve us before we exchange pleasantries, am sooo famished, help me before I pass away pls" said faruq as he head directly to the dinning table
"Angon zee manya, you abandon me two days, ko ziyara babu " I said
"Acici! You have to wait for me to freshen up first before we eat" said Irfam trailing behind
"Tab dijam! Wallahi I can't wait for you, hunger won't kill me Wallahi, Sannu agwagwa sarkin wanka! You either come and join me now or have the left over later, that's If I even remained it ma" said faruq as he dragged a chair and seated
"Wallahi baka isa ba...if you dare eat my share you most cook another exact one for me I swear" Irfam said as he exited from the dinning to his room, he didn't even close the door behind, he quickly made a U turn and come back to the dinning table
"This guy can eat for naija I swear! I know he can wickedly eat all the food and forget about me" said Irfam as he suit himself on one of the dinning chairs."Hahaha! U know me right Aswear!" Faruq said amidst of laughter
I served them both and leave the dinning table.
*********************
"Weeezz!" The most disgusting sound ever wokes me up that's my alarm sound, I silently off the sound and check on the time
5:00, I lazily carried myself to the washroom take my ablution and exited, I placed my praying mat, prayed my Rak'atainil fajr before subh.I quickly went to the kitchen to cook something for breakfast.
"Good morning ma'am" comes my maid's voice
"Oh morning Sara, please get to work the house is so sordid, start with the front approach compound okay?"
I told Sara as I proceeded with my own work.Sara swept the whole compound then proceeded to the dinning room and parlour.
"Sara please make sure that the parlour sparkles clean" I commanded
"Okay ma'am" she replied and poured a soapy water of cleaning detergents on the marbled tilted floor using the mop to wipe every cave and corner of the sitting room."Sara!" I called trying to reach for a container on the kitchen cabinet but couldn't due to my middle average height, I jumped, stand on my feet but all prove futile.
Almighty!
"Yes ma'am" Answered Sara
"Help me with that container over there" I said pointing it."BAM!" Suddenly Come a sound from the sitting room I raced to find what's happening, upon reaching there
"Subhanallah!" I silently gasped used my right hand and covered my mouth to stop me from a sudden outburst of my laughter, I quietly hide behind the curtain that separated between the sitting room and the dinning area.Irfam POV
I dressed up into a white kaftan with black embroidery and matched the look with black cap.
Am attending jabir's new baby's naming ceremony which will hold at 7:00 o clock and it's almost 6:43,
I don't know where the venue is, so we are going with faruq's car, he called me four missed calls to tell me that he is here but I ignored his calls to avoid his usual scolds of African time.
I hurriedly sprinted to the living room rushing to the exit door unknowingly to me that the floor is slippery all what I heard is 'BAM!'
I felt like all my bones cracked into pieces letting my soft flesh spreading to the floor, I managed to get up but couldn't then darkness covered every sight surrounding me.*****************†
I tried opening my eyes but seems like they can't bear the huge brightness, I closed them back again, upon so much attempt I forcefully depart my heavy eyelids and let my orbs to engulf the brightness, I quietly set my gaze to the surrounding, I realized that am at home laying on a sofa in my living room, suddenly the sight of what happened come flowing into my mind, I raised my head only to see four eyes and two faces staring back at me
"Are you okay? How are you feeling now, do you need something?" She(my so-called wife) worriedly asked all in one breath, with a tearstained face and redden nose acting like she cared after all is all her carelessness caused it, how on earth will she leave a slippery floor and busy herself with something else? Mtttwww! I felt like strangling her right this moment.
So she saw me on the floor subhanallah! what an embarrassment!"Hey dude how are you feeling?" Comes faruq's voice, I silently moved my gaze to where he seated on a cushion opposite mine.
"Hey!" He half-yelled and fan my face moving his hand back and forth to gain my attention.
"So can u recall what happened?" He said after making sure that he got my attention, I didn't respond to what he said just keep staring at him like a statue
"Can you recall... how...you... Fall.." He said trying to swallow back his laughter but couldn't, finally he let his annoying laughter to fill the atmosphere. The most embarrassing moment of my life I thought.
Oh mah gosh! So the mighty Irfam on the floor ya salam! Hahahaa
