Sorry, this is later than usual, but I have a reason. IT'S MY BIRTHDAY TODAY!!! JUNE 11TH!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MEEEE!!!🎉🎊🥳🎂🎉🎊🥳🎂🎉🎊🥳🎂🎉 And a happy birthday to my brother, whose birthday was earlier this week. He doesn't know this website even exists, but whatever, happy birthday anyway. Well then, on with Chapter 6!!!
3rd Person POV:
Saying that Tom and Sabine were having a bit of trouble was an understatement. They'd tried almost everything, and Marinette still hadn't woken up. The couple would've thought their daughter was dead if not for the rise and fall of her chest to indicate she was breathing. That and her mumbling "Five more minutes." every time they tried to wake her.
"Come on Marinette, we need you to get up, we have a lot to do today. The bakery's closed and you need to start packing." When Marinette didn't stir, Tom turned to his wife and shrugged his shoulders. Sabine sighed and looked back at her daughter. "I have an idea, but let's move out of the way, just to be safe."
Tom looked confused but moved back as Sabine asked. After they were a good distance from Marinette, Sabine took a deep breath and shouted out, "MARINETTE DUPAIN-CHENG! SCHOOL STARTED AN HOUR AGO!" Before either of them could say anything else, Marinette had jumped out of her loft bed, onto the ground, and was running around trying to simultaneously get dressed while her pajamas were still on.
After realizing that there was no school today and that her parents were smiling and quietly laughing at her, Marinette screeched to a holt. She looked over at her mother, who wore a satisfied smirk. "Maman, it's Saturday. Why didn't you let me sleep in?"
"Marinette, me and your father have been trying to wake you up for the past fifteen minutes. Everything at the new bakery is already set up. We need you to pack whatever you want to bring with you. We're moving into the new house late Sunday, and you'll be starting school on Monday. That gives you less than two days, and I imagine you'll want as much time as possible to be with your friends."
Marinette nodded before pushing her parents out of her room so she could get dressed. After putting on a pair of faded blue slightly ripped jeans and a grey off the shoulder blouse, Marinette started grabbing a few boxes to put her stuff in.
She spent most of the day packing her belongings. Although her parents didn't say where they were moving, they did say that they would come back every once in a while. So Marinette didn't pack everything, just the things she wanted to bring to her new home.
That included almost all her clothes, every token or memento she could find, nearly her total amount of used and unused sketchbooks, her entire stock of sketching, drawing, and sewing tools and materials, plus her manikins. Marinette rechecked every nook and crevice in her room to make sure she didn't miss anything. The Miracle Box would be on her persona when they traveled to the new bakery, so she left that in her carry on bag.
Satisfied that she had everything she needed or wanted to bring with her, Marinette texted the group chat, with Chloe, Alix, Kagami, and Luka. She still hadn't told them she was moving and planned to spend as much time as she could with them tomorrow before they had to leave.
