1. QUEST?

Percy woke up in his cabin at Camp Half-Blood. The sun shone through a small gap in the curtains. He lay on his back for a money, staring at the ceiling, before stretching and standing up. He walked over to his wardrobe and pulled on a camp t-shirt with a pair of blue jeans and his sneakers. He then brushed his teeth and ran a hand through his messy black hair in an attempt to tame it. As he looked at his tired reflection in the mirror, he heard a knock on the door. He walked over and opened it and was greeted by beautiful grey eyes as his girlfriend, Annabeth, stood before him, looked slightly more bubbly than usual.

"Hey, Seaweed Brain," she said to him.

"Hi, Wise Girl," he responded. "What's got you so happy?"

"My cousin Magnus is visiting camp today, remember?"

"Oh yeah, forgot about that."

"So are you coming to greet him?"

"Yeah, yeah I will." Percy walked outside and shut the door behind him.

He and Annabeth walked hand and hand to Thalia's tree on the top of Half-blood Hill. There stood the familiar figure of Magnus Chase, Annabeth's cousin, and his green-haired friend, Alex Fierro, currently female. Annabeth ran up to Magnus and crushed him in a hug. Alex just watched with a smirk on her face.

"Hey Annie," said Magnus once he was released from the bear hug. "Sam couldn't make it, said she had a lot of stuff to do."

"Aw that's too bad," replied Annabeth. "Well, I missed you!"

"I missed you too," he grinned.

"Your camp looks pretty cool," said Alex, gazing out over the valley at all the beautiful Greek buildings, the lake, the forest and the rest of the camp.

"Yeah, we can give you a tour if you want. Are you ok with that Perce?"

Percy nodded his head in agreement. "Sure."

"You should meet all our friends too," Annabeth said excitedly as she grabbed Magnus's hand.

"After breakfast though," Percy butted, "I'm starving."

The group all agreed to going on a tour of the camp after breakfast and walked down to the dining pavilion to get food. There was no need to stay with your own cabinmates at breakfast anymore, so all four of them sat down at the Poseidon table where they were greeted by Piper, Jason, Leo, Calypso, Nico, Grover and Will. Nico's eyebrows furrowed as he saw Alex and Magnus. Annabeth introduces everyone and we got our food. About halfway through the meal Nico turned to Magnus and Alex.

"What are you?" Nico asked them.

Alex and Magnus shared a look of confusion.

"What do you mean?" asked Alex.

"You're dead. Why are you dead? How are you here?" Nico asked them, clearly confused. Will elbowed him in the side.

Magnus's face paled and he looked at Alex, who had her eyebrows raised. "How do you know that?" she asked.

"My dad is Hades, god of the Underworld. I can sense death. And you're very much dead."

Magnus then explained how they were einherjar from Hotel Valhalla. He also said that he and Alex were Norse demigods.

"My dad is Frey," Magnus has explained.

"And Loki is my mom," stated Alex.

"Wait, hold up," Leo said, raising an eyebrow. "Isn't Loki a dude?" Calypso elbowed him.

Alex sighed. "Actually Loki is a shapeshifter and gender-fluid soo...yeah Loki's my mom."

Leo just nodded in understanding. "Ok, cool." And that was that for that conversation. After breakfast, Percy and Annabeth decided to give Alex and Magnus that tour of the camp. They were walking past the woods when Magnus stopped them.

"Hey can I tell you something?" he asked Annabeth.

"Yeah, sure!"

He glanced at Alex out of the corner of his eye as she nodded for him to continue. He took a deep breath before continuing.

"Me and Alex are dating."

Annabeth tackled Magnus in another hug. "Oh my gods, Magnus, that's great! I was waiting for you to get together! It was so obvious that you two liked each other!" she laughed. Percy just stood watching with a smile on his face as he saw Annabeth acting so happy.

Alex laughed as she watched her boyfriend struggle to breathe as his cousin squeezed him.

After that, the group continued with the tour, this time, the two couples both walked hand in hand with their partner, a bit more of a spring in their step. After the tour, Chiron came to greet the visitors outside the Big House.

"Thank you for having us here," Magnus has said to Chiron with a warm smile.

"My pleasure, children. I am happy to have other demigods here at camp," Chiron had replied with a smile just as welcoming. Suddenly there was a ringing sound coming from just inside the Big House.
"Oh, that must be the telephone," Chiron had stated. "I will see you around the camp." With that, he trotted back inside the house.

"Well, he seems nice," Magnus had said. The other three nodded in agreement at this.

They decided to meet up with the others near the strawberry fields for a picnic. Grover couldn't make it as he was helping Juniper out with something. Calypso had brought the food, Piper had blankets and Jason brought drinks. They chose a nice spot for the picnic and set up. Nico sat next to Will. The two had become pretty close friends over the months. It was almost a year since the war with Gaia. The group talked about the most random of things. They had been sitting talking and laughing for a while before the noticed Chiron making his way towards them, his face looked...sympathetic?

"Demigods," he greeted them. "I understand that you have been through a lot and probably wouldn't like anything to do with anymore quests for a while. However,"

Percy interrupted him with, "What do you mean, 'however'?!"

"I am getting to that, Percy. I have just received a call from an old friend. I will need some of you to go on a very important quest...
You should all come to the Big House and I shall explain further."

The demigods all shared quizzical looks. How important would this quest be?

"Oh, and Magnus and Alex, this may involve you too." The couple looked at each other, their eyebrows furrowed. They were confused and excited and nervous all at once. They hadn't a clue what was happening or why they would be involved. The group followed Chiron back to the Big House, where the quest was to be explained to them.
