!warning: panic attack and slight gore!

Song: sweater weather

After what seemed like unending years, the clock finally struck 1:20 pm. Namjoon quickly grabbed his bag and rushed out of his work building, yelling a quick goodbye to his coworkers. His heart and mind were all over the place- the male felt his head get cluttered with the most apocalyptic and hyperbolic thoughts of what could go wrong in the next hour. He kept trying to keep his shit together- after all, it was just a date-, but his emotions seemed to get the best of him nonetheless.

In all his panic, he managed to break the door to his office building. People around got startled by the roaring noise, instantly looking at him- however, most of them were coworkers knew about Namjoon's little issue with his power, so the shock quickly faded into the usual working atmosphere. 'Great- now, by the end of the day, not only will your heart be broken, but also the fucking door of the fucking office building!' 'Oh, shut up, mind!' Did he tell his mind to shut up? Yes, indeed- his thoughts just seemed too much at the moment.

Namjoon runs down the street hurriedly, checking his phone every few seconds to make sure he wasn't late. He swerved around a corner, almost running into an old woman. He quickly turned to her to make sure she was ok and after apologizing about 40 times (he might have been rushed but he wasn't cruel), the male continued his marathon towards the cafe. He stopped in his tracks when he, at last, reached his destination, trying to regain his breath from running so much. Boy was he not in shape.

Namjoon took a deep, slow breath and entered the cafe- the atmosphere was quite pleasant, with subtle songs playing in the background, fading into the white noise of the room. the cd's and vintage decoration items hung in the brick walls gave the place a nice, rustic look to it. the green pigment of the plants scattered unpatterned around enhanced slightly amongst the cool toned walls.

Namjoon's heart kind of, maybe skipped a beat when he saw the beautiful man sitting at the back of the cafe. He was wearing a salmon pink button up shirt and a doctors coat, round glasses framing his glossy eyes. His hands held a small book, in which the male was seemingly quite emerged in. An unbeknownst smile creeped its way to Namjoon's lips. He loved books more then anything in the world.

'Ok' he thought to himself 'you're gonna go up to him and ask what book he's reading. Don't be awkward, make sure to follow the plan'. Yes, Namjoon had made a plan. He was so nervous about the date the night before that he had made a plan of exactly what he was going to order, how he would approach the older and where they where going to sit. The third part of the plan had already failed, seen as Seokjin got there before him and sat at the back of the cafe, as opposed to the front. Now, others may see Namjoon as a control freak, but he sees himself as purely cautious. The second part of the plan quickly followed the third part of the plan in failing when Jin spotted him and waved aggressively. The youngers cheeks blazed pink as he made his way to the back of the cafe, knowing that Jin had caught him staring.

"I know that my face is stunning but you don't have to stare" teased the older with a playful smile on his face.

"It most certainly is" Namjoon blurted our before he could stop himself.

This surprised both boys in very different ways: Namjoon was surprised by his burst of confidence and horrified by the fact that his comment could have totally been considered creepy, whereas Jin was surprised to have received a compliment. The male always did it himself, which resulted in people not giving him many compliments in order to not "feed his ego".

"T-thank you" mumbled Jin, his cheeks painted with a faded shade of pink. An awkward silence settled over the pair before Seokjin coughed and pulled out a menu, rambling about his favorite beverages.
