Namjoon sighed in frustration glaring at the broken sunglasses in his hands.
'Are you kidding me, this is my 8th pair this week!' He thought.
You see, Namjoon lived in a world in which the population had "powers". Some people's powers were useful, like Namjoon's friend, Taehyung, whose power was to move things without even touching them, and some people's powers were utterly useless, like Namjoon's power: the power of breaking things.
The ability would have been great if he was a bad guy, but he considered himself a pretty good person. He payed his taxes, he worked a full time job (although it was pretty hard to find one seeing as no one wanted to hire someone with such a destructive power) and he only ever committed one crime, which was the destruction of private proprety- and that was an accident.
He cringed remembering miss. Lang's face when she saw her broken fence and he cringed even harder remembering the long tiring hours of work he had to do to fix the destroyed fence.
Namjoon grabbed his bag and rushed out his door to the bus stop.
Because of the fact that people have powers, the goverment set rules to controle the use of these abilities. For example, you are not allowed to use your powers to hurt others, unless you are a part of the KSHD (Korean Super Hero Departement). The KSHD is a group of trained professionals that work to protect Korea from villains. Namjoon's friend, Jungkook, is appart of the KSHD.
Another one of the rules is that certain powers may prohibit you from driving vehicles. Namjoon's power happened to be one of them.
So he was forced to take the crowded, unpleasant bus.
He stepped on the vehicle and was met with the familiar smell of sweat and fast food.
His nose wrinkled in disgust as he was pressed against a girl wearing strong perfume. He gripped his briefcase, already dreading the long day ahead of him.
The sad part was that recently, Namjoon had been dreading his days more and more, he just couldn't find a thing to look forward to ever since his pet crab, Wobbles, died.
When he was younger, he was happy about his power, seeing as it is a pretty powerful ability, but that was until he realised how prohibiting it could be. Now he was just depressed.
When his stop was called he quickly rushed off the crowded bus, glad to be away from the smelly people.
Seriously? Does no one wear deodorant in Seoul? Namjoon ALWAYS wears deodorant.
'Well, at least my day couldn't get any worse' he thought. That is until his hand brushed on a tree, resulting in it breaking and falling on him.
