Sadie's POV
After a long day I finally wake up from my sleep. I walk to the living room and sit on the couch, next to Finn. He is eating a bowl of cereal and watching TV.
"Wow, you look like trash." Finn said.
"Wow, Thanks, Finn." I said. "I certainly feel like trash."
"Sadie, did you even sleep?" Finn asked.
"Barely, I only slept a couple of hours." I answered.
To be honest my heart was flustered with emotions. All I wanted to do was scream, and I wasn't even aware by. A chill went down my spine when I thought of Millie and Finn dating. I tried to convince myself that I wasn't jealous of Millie and I just didn't want things to change. I wasn't comfortable with anything. I wasn't comfortable with Millie anymore but I promised her I'd put in a good word.
"Was your day with Millie really that hard?" Finn asked.
It was just another day of hanging out but to be honest, I couldn't hear a single word Millie was saying. I was distracted but I didn't know by what. Millie rambled on about her life and I'd have a conversation with her, but by the time I had woken up it was all a blur.
"No, no, it was just one of those nights." I answered.
Finn looked at me. His brown eyes seemed to sparkle brighter now that I was looking into his eyes. I don't like him, I just want to like him because Millie likes him. There's really no feelings there. It's just the writing.
"Oh, god, I hate this episode." He said as he looked back at the TV.
"You know speaking of Millie..." I said.
"Mmhmm..." Finn said not looking too enthusiastic about the conversation.
"How do you feel about her because I hear she likes you." I awkwardly said. I was extremely uncomfortable with this conversation and I just wanted it to go by faster so I could leave.
"Oh." Finn said as he raised his eyebrows still staring at the television and eating his cereal.
"Is that all you wanted to say?" I asked.
"I dunno, maybe I'll ask her out." Finn said.
Those words struck me. They stabbed me through the heart.
"You should." I said. This sentence made me want to hurl. I still didn't know why.
"Are you sure I should?" Finn asked.
I couldn't lie anymore, at least not verbally. I nodded.
"I'm gonna call her then." He said.
"Mhm." I said in a blank expression.
The rest of the morning was quiet. Finn tried to start conversations but my mind was somewhere else. After a while, I had the confidence to ask something I had been wanting to ask since the first day we moved.
"Finn?" I asked.
"Yeah?" Finn answered.
"When we moved here and I fell asleep watching the movie." I said.
"Yep, that happened, yesterday." Finn chuckled.
"When you brought me to my room and... did you see me naked?" I asked extremely fast.
Finn choked on his cereal and spat it out on his bowl.
"I... uh... well you know, you were, uh... complaining about that dress... the whole ride here, I, um... I changed you but, you were only half naked and... I wasn't really looking, all I did was unzip your dress which was from the back so all I saw was your back and I just slipped on the shirt so, no, I did not see you naked, and I wasn't being a pervert or anything so... no?" Finn said hesitantly.
I looked to the floor and fidgeted with my feet.
"I'm gonna call Millie, now." Finn said. He stood up and walked to our room. I saw him take his phone out of his pocket. I still had mixed feelings, about everything.
He asked Millie on a date and of course she accepted.
One date turned into another and soon enough, I couldn't tell if Millie lived with us or not. I wasn't as home as much. Millie and Finn fought a lot and I felt like a divorce child, parents fighting and all I could do was sit there and pretend like everything was fine. It wasn't. At least not for me. Nothing was ever fine with me anymore. I had caught Finn sleeping on the couch a couple of times because Millie and him got into an argument but she had to sleep in our apartment for some reason. The relationship was mostly toxic, except the couple of hours after their fight, where they'd act like the perfect couple. The screaming and fighting wasn't even the worst part. It was the makeup sex afterwards. Sometimes, I'd stay over at Caleb's for a couple of days sometimes a week or two. Finn and Millie made me mad even when they weren't fucking or screaming.
I was in Caleb's for the weekend and was finally coming back home. Part of me was happy to see Finn but I knew Millie was there.
"Hey, Finn." I said as I placed my suitcase on the floor and closed the door. "Millie." I nodded.
I hated their relationship but still acted friendly as I wasn't going to act like a bitch.
Millie waved to me from the couch and Finn said "Hey, Sadie."
I went into my room and unpacked my stuff even though I was aware I'd leave in a couple of days.
Finn came into our room and sat on his bed and watched me unpack my stuff for a while.
"Sadie?" He called.
"Yep, that's me." I answered.
"Why don't we hangout like we used to? Why not go to the beach or something?" Finn asked.
"Why, is Millie busy?" I ask in a sarcastic tone.
"No, Millie's gonna be out of town tomorrow morning, so, I just wanna hang out." Finn answered.
"Sure, we should go to the beach tomorrow after Millie leaves." I agreed.
"Yeah, we should." Finn nodded. "How was your stay with Caleb?"
"It was fine, we hung out and stuff nothing much, to be honest." I answered Finn.
He nodded.
There was an awkward moment of silence, and I was just looking at the floor while hoping he was gone before I would say something idiotic.
"Millie wants me to hangout with her today since she's leaving on a business trip on tomorrow." Finn said.
"Yeah, yeah, you should go hang out with her, drop her off at the airport and then we can hang out." I said.
"I should get..uh"
"You should get going." I finished.
He stood up and opened our bedroom door.
"Finn?" I called.
"Yeah?" He answered.
"Where are you guys going?" I asked. It wasn't what I intentionally meant to ask but I just wanted him to stay for a while longer.
"I don't know, she wanted to go to this local carnival but it got changed to Sunday so now we're just gonna do what she wants." Finn answered in a monotone voice.
I went to sleep that night. Watching Millie and Finn hugging each other to sleep. As sweet as it was for them, I was disgusted. I knew it was selfish of me to want them to break up but I had no idea as to why I wanted them to. Before I knew it, I was asleep.

Finn's POV
I was speaking to Sadie who had just gotten home from Caleb's house.
I did have a crush on Sadie for a bit but when she recommended I ask Millie on a date I assumed she wasn't even interested. Now, here we were. I asked Sadie to hang out with me because I had to ask her something I knew she'd be mad about. I had to get her in a good mood. My friend owned a beach house and I asked if I could borrow it so I could break the news to Sadie.
