Sadie's POV
I spent the night at Jaeden's, even though I said I'd stay at Caleb's. Caleb wasn't even home and lived too far, so Jaeden let me crash at his place.
He was also having Wyatt over as a guest and even though Jaeden only had two bedrooms, he let me sleep on his bed and he slept on his couch.
I had thanked him multiple times for letting me over at such short notice.
Wyatt was kind and wasn't at all startled by me coming over.
Me, Jaeden and Wyatt were like three peas in a pod. Not two, since we were kind of an iconic trio. I had known Wyatt and Jaeden since the ninth grade, but I had known Finn since kindergarten.
Jaeden asked me multiple times why I couldn't just go to my own house.
I finally gave in a bit later.
I explained to him what had happened. He was confused as to why I cared so much over a shirt but didn't bother to make me any sadder.
I woke up that morning. A bunch of notifications had flooded my phone. I had multiple texts and missed calls from Finn.
His contact name for me was:
Finn 🐸 ✌🏻
I decided not to call him back and walked to Jaeden's living room.
Jaeden was trying to sleep peacefully on the couch but Wyatt was bothering him by sitting on him.
"Morning, Boys." I say.
"Good morning, Sadie." Wyatt greeted.
"Morning..." Jaeden said in a weak voice.
"Now, would you get off of me?" He said in a stronger voice, punching Wyatt with his wrist.
Wyatt stood up.
"How long are you gonna be staying?" Wyatt asked.
"Probably, soon, I'm sorry if I was a problem." I said.
"It's nothing, it's just, you know, I'd like to not wake up everyday to Wyatt sitting on me and saying 'Well, you're on the couch, so you are the couch'." Jaeden mocked.
"Ha, Ha." Wyatt sarcastically said.
"So, have you talked to Finn, yet?" Jaeden asked.
"He called a couple of times but, I'll call him later." I answered.
"You're gonna have to talk to him sooner or later." Wyatt said.
"No shit." I scoffed.
My phone rang, I looked at the screen expecting it to be Finn but it was Millie.
"Sorry, I have to take this, I'm gonna be out in the hallway calling her." I said as I stood out of the apartment and into the thin narrow hallway.
"Hi, Millie." I said.
"Hey, Sadie, how are you doing?" Millie asked.
I expected her to start screaming to me about Finn but she was weirdly calm.
Maybe, she didn't know?
"I'm good, what about you?" I asked.
"I'm great, where are you?" Millie asked.
"I'm at Jaeden's, Wyatt is here as well." I answered Millie.
"I have great news!" Millie squealed.
"Really? What are they?" I asked in excitement.
"The company I work for, gave me two weeks off, and the airport is giving me a discount, for all tickets I buy." Millie said.
"Really?!" I squealed. "Millie, Thats amazing!"
I wasn't too sure why this was so great, and why'd she'd tell me but I was still excited for her. Regardless of everything, she was still one of my best friends.
"Those aren't even the good news!" Millie squealed.
"Really, what are they?" I asked.
"Well, I'm using my discount, to go on a trip to Thailand, with you, Finn, me and I'll allow you to invite two people, since everyone else is kind of busy." Millie said really fast.
"Oh, my god!" I said. "Millie, thats great, thank you, where are we going?"
"Thailand, I already booked a hotel, we live in two days, try to find two people soon, okay?"
Millie demanded.
"Yeah, yes, I will!" I yelled.
"I'm going to start packing and do some extra work so I can have a couple of extra days, bye!" Millie said.
"Bye, love you, Millie!" I yelled.
She hung up and for a moment I forgot about Finn.
I walked back into the apartment with an extremely wide smile on my face.
"I'm guessing that wasn't Finn from all the squealing." Wyatt scoffed.
"Jaeden, Wyatt..." I said in a singy-songy way.
"What do you want..?" Jaeden asked in a sing-song way as well.
"To make it up to you." I laughed.
"I'm listening." Jaeden said.
"How would you and Wyatt... like to go on a free trip to Thailand with free hotel room and everything!" I yelled.
"Really?!" Wyatt yelled.
I rapidly nodded.
"We leave in two days for two weeks, so be ready!" I yelled.
"I CAN SLEEP ON MY COUCH FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE IF IT MEANS HOING TO THAILAND!" Jaeden yelled.
"So, can I spend another night here?" I asked.
"Fuck Yeah!" Jaeden yelled.
My phone starts to ring again. It's Finn, but I choose to ignore it.
Millie texts me and it says:
'Hey, I'm coming to pick you up, so you can pack your bags and stuff. You can go back to Jaeden's but you can't wear the same two shirts for two weeks."
I laugh and text back:
"Sure, whatever, haha 🤠 pick me up at 1:30?"
Millie texted me back:
"Sure, I'll be there!"
I waited a bit but Millies car was finally there. I walk down the stairs and open the car door. I open the door and it's Finn. I turn around and start walking back.
"Wait!" He yelled. "Millie asked me to pick you up, she has to run some errands."
I turned around and got into the car. Just for Millie. Not Finn. Never.
We didn't talk twenty minutes into the drive, until finn said:
"Look, we don't have to talk about what happened yesterday, we have to sometime but during the vacation, just, let's pretend to like each other." Finn said.
I looked out the window and gazed at the clouds.
"For Millie." Finn finished.
"Fine, for Millie." I stared and looked back.
"Are you going to stay at Jaeden's until the trip?" Finn asked.
"Yeah, Im just going to pack up, plus Millie said I could invite two people and since we all know each other and age friends with Wyatt and Jaeden." I answered in a monotone voice.
"So," Finn asked. "Are you sleeping with one of them?"
"What the hell, Finn?!" I yelled while staring at him. "I cant have male friends without being a slut to them!?"
"That's not what I meant." Finn said.
"Then what did you mean?" I asked.
Finn pauses and it was silent for a while.
"I was just curious." He said.
I scoffed. "About what?"
"My love life, that's my business and not yours."
"Why are you even mad at me?" Finn asked.
"Because... I" i stopped. "We said we wouldn't talk about it until the trip was done, let's just pretend we like each other."
