Peyton

"Thank you Italy!" I shout, disappearing below stage for what felt like the millionth time "you did great!" Vanessa perked up from beside me. "Thanks" I mumble, pushing past her back to the dressing rooms

"Peyton, Sabrina released another song" Amir came up behind me. I nodded "I know, needy, I've listened to it" I brush off. He shakes his head, "no she's released another one" he replied

I furrowed my eyebrows "what?" I look at him like he's stupid. He sighed, pulling up an article on his phone,

"Fans speculate as Sabrina Carpenter releases two new songs not even 24 hours after her departure from the Up All Night tour with Peyton Meyer. The second song came as a surprise, Carpenter quietly unfollowing Meyer only minutes after the song aired on Spotify. So what really happened between the two? Why did she leave the tour?"

"How is she making music so fast? She literally would've put it together in under 5 or so hours" I question Amir. "I talked to Ceci, the company had already written the song and produced the music. Sabrina chose to sing it when they offered it to her, She didn't write it" he explained

"What's it got to do with me?" I asked as I finally reached the dressing room "because the song is very clearly about someone who's loyalties have changed and how she wishes them well" he replied

I pulled out my phone,

I rolled my eyes slightly, going onto Spotify and listening to her new song "I hope that you remember, that I was always good to you, And even though you hurt me, ah, I just had to see it through..Sometimes, even the good things get lost along the way, I had to let you go, but I wanted you to stay, Cause honestly, your loyalties, insecurities, And priorities ain't the same, The harmony, it's the only thing I can save.."

"I just wanna talk to her, man..see her" I rest my head in my hand, using my knee to hold my elbow. "I know..she's just upset..it'll all blow over" he replies

"It sounds stupid...but I was so excited for the tour..and then she joined and I was even more excited..I sorta feel like I don't have a reason to be excited for it anymore..you know?..we aren't up there together then I don't want to be there at all" I explain

He nods, taking a seat beside me "unfortunately, you have an entire fan base out there that love you and your music to death. Yes, her being here was great and yes, her being here was definitely one of the happiest I've seen you be..but it's different now..things have changed" he sighed

"She was different..she was someone who didn't care about who I was or what I have..she liked me for me.." I trail off "there are other people out there like that too, Vanessa seems pretty open to you" he responded

I roll my eyes, "she is the last person I want to have a relationship with right now" I sigh "that's gonna have to change" Amir replied

I screwed my face up, "I can continue the tour with not liking one person" I defend myself "Peyton, you have to date her" he replied

I looked to him as if he had grown two heads "date her! Are you mad?" I scoff. "I've tried to argue it already, the company reckons Sabrinas songs will cause tok much controversy, so instead of it coming across that you did something bad, they want it to be that you got a girlfriend, and she left because of it" he explained

"What do you mean the company? The company both Sabrina and I work for, are trying to lie to make me sound better and her sound worse? She didn't do anything wrong, how could I make her the blame of it!" I protest

"Because you aren't making her the blame! Your the one who got the girlfriend, the one who replaced her on the tour...you aren't putting the blame onto her, the company's just trying to spread it out so that it appears less complicated to the world" he replied

I sighed deeply, "this isn't going to go down well, Amir" I mumble.
