"Oliver what are we doing here the whole city is falling apart!?" Felicity asked. Confused as to why they were at the Queen mansion. "I know." Oliver said. "But I need you to be safe." "I don't want to be safe. I wanna be with you." she pleaded looking into his eyes. "Felicity, Slade said he was going to kill the woman I loved most. And that's you. I can't loose you. Please, stay here." as he finished saying this, he leaned forward and kissed her hard on the lips. As he did so, he put a vial of the cure in her hand. Using his body to block the cameras view. When he pulled away, he silently pleaded with her to understand. And to forgive him. "I love you. Do you understand?" he asked. "Yes." she said, still a little breathless from the kiss.
Oliver turned and walked away out the door. Not daring to look back or to gaze at the camera he knew was to his right.

Felicity moved to the living room of the mansion awaiting Slade. As soon as Oliver pressed the vial into her hands she knew what she had to do. She would get captured and use the vial on him so Oliver could take him down. She forced herself to keep breathing as the realization of what she was expected to do sunk in.
What if she failed? What is Slade searched her? The what if's continued to swirl in her head as she heard the door bang down. Trying to be convincing, she began to run. The goon chased after her though and it wasn't long until she was caught. She struggled a bit as they threw her into the back if a van.
The drive wasn't long, and soon they were at Slades hideout. They roughly threw her out of the car and in front of Slade who regarded her with a look of such disgust she felt uncomfortable in her own skin. "I thought Oliver had better taste in women." he spoke aloud as he dragged Felicity by the hair further into the lair.
