"Turn left at the next intersection" Daniel told Corbyn as he sat in the passenger seat of his car.

After eating lunch, Corbyn insisted that he was driving him home. Daniel didn't argue and just let Corbyn take him home.

The trees blurred by as they drove through the neighborhood of Bel Air. Daniel was aware that some of the richest people in the country lived in the same neighborhood as his family, he knew he could go to a random property and probably find Beyonce's house. He always loved living in the Bel Air but sometimes he wishes he lived in a different community, one that was not too quiet and where his neighbors didn't live almost a kilometer away.

Growing up, he didn't get to do what other kids did. He didn't get to go trick or treating, or play with the neighbor's kid during the weekends or even attend birthday parties. His family didn't really allow that, mostly his father, he always had to be prim and proper. Whatever that meant.

"Grow up, kid" His father told him when he asked why he can't go trick or treating. "You shouldn't be like the other kids. You're a Seavey"

What does it mean to be a Seavey? Always wear a suit and tie? Be anti-social? Put on a facade that the general public knows but be totally different to his family? Daniel didn't know.

He always wondered what his life would be like without all the wealth and luxury. Sometimes his picket fence life makes him wonder if money was the reason why his family was never that close and why his father seemed like he didn't care about them.

They made another turn and Daniel recognized Stradella Rd., where Christina's house was.

Daniel was forever thankful for meeting Zach and Christina. It made him feel more like a normal person. He was 14 when he met them, he remembered sitting alone in the cafeteria during lunch. It was the first day of high school, and Daniel didn't know how to make friends like the other kids since he had been home-schooled his whole life.

~~~~~~~
"Looks like no one's sitting beside you" A girl, his age plopped herself beside Daniel, startling the brunette. "Do you mind?"
"Christina, you already sat beside him even before asking" A boy, who also looked like his age told the girl. Unlike the girl, he had a tray with the cafeteria food.
"Well..." The girl, Christina, looked at Daniel, who was still looking at them wide-eyed. "He doesn't seem to be opposed to the idea. Are you?"
Daniel didn't know what to say.
"C'mon answer me" Christina told him, pointing to her mouth. "Just repeat after me. N-"
"Christina, you're embarassing him" The boy sat on Daniel's other side, making the chair a little crowded for Daniel's liking. "Why don't you just sit with Gabbie and the other girls-"
"I love Gabbie and all but I don't want to spend the whole entirety of lunch talking about boys and gossiping about other students" Christina opened her bag and took out a packed sandwich. "It's just the first day of school and they're already talking about who they think is hot, like girl, chill the fuck out"
The boy looked at Daniel who was picking at his packed lunch, not really paying attention to the people around him.
"Hey, I'm Zach" He told Daniel. "What's your name?"
"Daniel, Daniel Seavey" He answered, feeling somewhat nervous.
"Oh is your father Jeff?" Christina asked him, to which he just nodded. "My father's company is in partnership with your father's company"
"Mine too" Zach said.
"Well, enough talk about our fathers" Christina looked at Daniel. "How come I've never seen you around before?"
"Well, I was home-schooled until now and I don't really go out of my house" Daniel trailed off.
"Sounds like a boring life" Christina remarked, making Daniel's cheeks redden.
"Christina-" Zach started.
"Don't worry me too, I only met Zach since our mothers are friends" Christina told him. "Now that we're in high school, I've heard some stuff about parties, alcohol, drugs-"
"Christina" Zach looked at her horrified, Daniel had the same expression on his face.
"Calm down, you guys need to live a little. Enough of the sheltered life." Christina said. "I'm just here for the fun. I don't really care about academics, you don't need to know shit about geometry on the runway"
"Runway?" Daniel asked.
"I wanna be a model someday" Christina took some fries from Zach's lunch tray. "These taste like cardboard what the fuck"
"Tell me about it" Zach rolled his eyes.
"Rule number one" Christina waved a fry at Daniel's face. "Don't trust cafeteria food"
~~~~~~~

"Drive more slowly" Daniel lowered his window as they neared the gates, once the guard saw his face he opened the gates.

Corbyn carefully parked his car. The Seavey's parking lot was as big as a mall's. The black asphalt stretched for almost a kilometer, in front of it was a three-story mansion with a patio, numerous balconies and floor to ceiling windows. Countless trees dotted along the border of the property, making it seem like they were in the middle of a forest.

"Come in" Daniel opened his car door.

"I'm just here to drop you off, Seavey" Corbyn told him.

"You saved me one day of school, the least I can do is invite you in"

"You don't really need to-"

"I can just tell the guards to not let you out" Daniel smirked at him playfully.

"So you're kidnapping me now?"

"Shut up, just come inside"

Corbyn sighed defeatedly and turned the car's engine off.
