Chapter 8: Box of Things

1:39pm, at noon, Heather drives to Eustace's house according to the way Dante messaged her.

Several minutes later, as she drives, she saw Aralith standing in front of the car, in the middle of the road.

Heather then tries to hit Aralith with the car, but she disappeared.

*thud* *thud*

As she heard a sound coming from the top of the car, she was startled by a loud horn. Turns out it was just another driver behind her.

Few minutes later, she arrived to Eustace's house.

Before they leave, Eustace's mom, Amelia, invites Heather to have a little chat with her.

"I love your sons. They're too polite." Amelia said.

"Yeah. Tyler and Dante are the good boys for sure." Heather said.

"So, about the happenings with you, and your sons, uhm... Your sons told everything about this woman, Aralith. And the way she haunts you, and your sons."

"Yeah. It's been a rough week. This started ever since his birthday. It all started with this piano music, Sonata of the Night."

"Yeah. I can tell. People call it these days, Nightmare Sonata. I know some of her history, but that's all I can do."

As they talk, Heather saw Aralith behind Amelia.

"Ahh!" Heather screamed.

"Why? what is it?" Amelia asked, shocked.

"Aralith, she was standing behind you. For a quick second."

Heather then apologizes, and leaves the house.

11:23pm, Tyler and Dante are asleep.

Heather then goes back to the attic to find more stuffs that she's curious about.

As she explores, she bumped on a cardboard box, full of objects. She then takes it, and put it down stairs.

"Let's see here." Heather said.

As she opens the box, she saw a lot of mysterious items.

She saw a necklace, made of gold and emeralds, she saw a notebook, a golden ring, and a note.

She was then curious about the note. So she reads it.

Hello fellow reader, don't mind this box of things, but I just wanted to keep this as my pride possessions. If I die, whoever will obtain this in the future, please take care of it. They are precious.

Aralith Olivia

After reading the note, Heather took care of it, thinking that taking care of her possessions, she might calm Aralith.

She then puts the items back to the box, and closes it.

As she slowly grabs the box, the box then was pulled by force.

A shadow then appears in front of the box, turning to Aralith.

"I'm sorry, Aralith. I just wanted peace." Heather weeps.

Aralith then screams, and made Heather trips.

Aralith then disappeared after Tyler interrupted.

"Mom. What's going on?" Tyler asked.

Heather then tells Tyler to go back to sleep, while Heather puts on her jacket, and drives the car.
