AN:- A longer chapter for your reading pleasure, AND lots of screentime for the bangtannies! Enjoy, loveys 💖
Endlessly and increasingly curious about everything that had happened, Esha dragged (Y/N) to her Grandpa Zain's house the very next morning to ask him all he knew about his magic family heirloom. Having had some time to reflect upon the events of the day, the two girls felt they finally had some clarity. As such, they had already turned their apartment upside down trying to find the lost ring. Alas, they had to give up eventually because the small (yet obviously powerful) trinket was nowhere to be found.
"What if he's mad at me, though? I mean, I've both lost his family heirloom and got a magic tattoo in the past 24 hours." (Y/N)'s concerns about her Grandpa Zain being mad at her were valid enough for Esha not to try and convince her otherwise.
"Maybe he is mad, but we need to ask him about the ring. He's our only actual source of information!" The latter said, at which the other nodded reluctantly.
The two girls walked up to the porch of Grandpa Zain's house, and (Y/N) had never been more nervous about meeting her grandfather. Before the girl could psyche herself out any more though, the door swung open to reveal the man of the hour.
(Y/N)'s grandfather immediately slapped a welcoming smile on his face, possibly at the sight of Esha; a stranger, but his granddaughter could see right through his façade. Grandpa Zain was worried about something.
"What a pleasant surprise, (Y/N)! Who is this lovely lady?" He shook Esha's hand politely before ushering the two girls in, and for a second everything seemed normal.
But then Grandpa Zain's eyes zeroed in on (Y/N)'s left wrist and things took a turn for the weird. The girl had always known that her grandfather was a little weird, getting along with children better than he did with adults (his humor being self deprecating more often than not fit right in with most teenagers).
Still, the man hadn't ever exhibited signs of actual insanity. Which is exactly why what transpired next was wholly surprising to say the least. Grandpa Zain started mumbling to himself, as if trying to settle an internal debate, eyes wild as he rambled intelligibly.
"What are you- Grandpa, I didn't get a word of that." (Y/N) felt like she was missing something big, and tired of that feeling that came with being clueless.
"I said congratulations, my dear! Is this young lady here your destined? I was thrown off because you have had boyfriends in the past; I have to admit, but good for you two!" Grandpa Zain said as he nodded to Esha, who could only laugh and splutter quietly in reply to the implication.
There really wasn't any stopping the man, it seemed; he was only too content in making his own assumptions about the fateful tattoo he had spotted on his granddaughter's wrist.
"Grandpa. First of all: Esha here is my best friend and that is it. I think we all need to have a bit of a talk," (Y/N) sighed as she tried to gather her thoughts once again and got ready to narrate the events of the previous day to her grandfather.
She might already be tired of the hectic confusion her life seemed to be leading her towards, but it looked like the universe was just starting.

"You lost my family heirloom already?" Was the first question that Grandpa Zain chose to ask when (Y/N) had finished speaking.
When the girl in question could only stutter in reply, Esha spoke up.
"We tried to find it everywhere, but- it really isn't anywhere to be found. Sorry, Grandpa Z."
"Oh well. At least you got your wish before you lost the ring," He shrugged in reply to the news of the ring's loss before moving on to his questions.
