A small silence lapsed in the room after (Y/N) finished narrating her journey over the past week or so, not uncomfortable but anticipating.

"So, all of this happened because of a ... magic ring? And now we're all soulmates? How is that-?" Namjoon's questions elicited a small sigh from the girl.

"To be honest, I don't have answers to most of the questions probably running through your minds right now." (Y/N) paused after saying, making sure to continue only after Namjoon had been given enough time to translate her words to the other boys and they nodded understandingly.

"I want to say this, though: I don't expect anything from any of you. You don't owe me anything, and I need you to know that. But, from what I understand ... my stupid little wish would never have come true if the universe didn't believe that we- that we were meant for each other. So, I don't know about you, but I want to try and figure out what this tattoo on my wrist is trying to tell me." (Y/N) quietened after speaking with a small smile, allowing the boys to converse amongst themselves.

After a few (painstakingly long) moments had passed, the boys turned towards the girl who was beginning to doubt and second-guess her words increasingly as the seconds ticked by. Thankfully though, most of the members seemed to have smiles on their faces when they looked at her.

"We want to try too. With you," This time, it was Jungkook who spoke for the others instead of Namjoon, and the maknae's efforts towards speaking English for her brought a big smile to (Y/N)'s face as she nodded slightly in reply.

"So ..." She dragged out the single syllable, only to see that the boys remained silent, and then decided with a slight head tilt to lead the conversation herself to where she wanted it to go; later, she would be more than surprised at her ability to be so calm and coherent in front of Bangtan, but (Y/N) didn't think too much of it in the moment.

"You guys wanna hang out sometime? Grab a bite; get lunch, maybe?" She was very relieved when her third or so variation of the same sentence finally elicited affirmative reactions from the boys sitting in front of her; she was definitely running out of ways to ask them out.

(Y/N) couldn't help but notice though, that the boys' little shouts of "okay!" and "yes!" were riddled with nerves. It was endlessly endearing to witness them so shy in person; each one of the boys became visibly smaller and began to forego eye contact as if to hide their bashfulness. It was adorable.

It took a little effort; trying to find an empty slot in the boys' busy schedules was hard, but it was decided soon enough that the eight of them would meet again the next day for (late) lunch. Before conversation could truly pick up again after the rendezvous was decided though, Bangtan was called upon by their managers.

"We have to go." Yoongi, who hadn't really spoken a lot until then, said both carefully and apologetically as he looked up from his phone.

"That's okay! I understand. I'll see you tomorrow?" Though (Y/N)'s last statement was meant to be reassuring, it came out more questioning.

Still, Hoseok and Taehyung nodded with big smiles on their faces as they came forward first to say goodbye. Before (Y/N) could second guess how to say goodbye and what was appropriate or not, Taehyung's arms were wrapped loosely around her, quickly followed by Hoseok's warm embrace.

Neither of the hugs were especially long or overtly intimate, but they left a warm, fuzzy feeling in (Y/N)'s chest; like the kind a particularly sweet cup of cocoa leaves you with. Though the other members weren't as openly affectionate with her just yet, all of their greetings emanated a tender sort of warmth that the girl couldn't help but yearn for more of.
