"Where is he" Motoyasu asks ren
"How am I supposed to know where he is" ren replied a little irritated
"Do you think he died?" Itsuki asked a little nervous
"We can do it without him, who needs the weak shield hero when we have all the actually useful people." Malty says
"You know what the prophecy says, it takes all assembled heroes to ward off the waves, if he's not here we might all die, even if he's weak or not." Motoyasu exclaims
"Don't focus to hard on the prophecy those things are wrong all the time, the shield devil isn't even a hero so I don't think we need him to be present for the waves, plus we all have the best equipment money can buy, who needs the shieled hero." Maly says
"She does have a point, I mean we all have some of the best equipment money can buy, if the shield hero is weak like we all saw he would most likely get in the way." Itsuki says
"Since the shield hero isn't present I w -"
The doors to the throne room throw open revealing a person in a cloak walking toward the throne. Guards quickly rush in and point there spears at him.
"Put your hands where we can see them, and get on the ground." Gaurd 1 said
"We won't hesitate to attack if you don't listen." Gaurd 2
"What is the meaning of this intrusion." The king exclaims
"Sorry my king, but this man walked in and attacked the men at the front gate forcing his way in here." Random gaurd
The Figure raises his hands in the air, that's when everyone notices the shield on his forearm.
"I was told to come here by your orders king, if I remember correctly you said and I quote 'I don't want to ever see your face until three years from now when the waves start' so here I am, and I didn't just randomly attack those guards I tried to explain to them that I was supposed to be in here but they didn't listen and tried to force 'subdue me' me to the ground so I showed them who was boss." Naofumi said
"Enough of this shield devil we will discuss this incident on a later date the waves are gonna start soon" the king spat
"You and your party will be teleported to the battlefield immediately after the waves start, we don't know what what kind of monsters await you but there will be a boss of sorts, they will usually be easy to spot, once you take out them the wave will end and the monsters will stop coming." The king said
Right after the king finished saying that a green light enveloped the heroes and the companions. They were all teleported to a hilly plains area surrounded by forests.
Naofumi's POV
We had just been teleported to a plains type of area surround by a forest. The sky was a dark shade of red with what looked to be a rupture in the middle of the sky. Than monsters of all shapes and sizes started rushing out of the forest. I was about to engage in battle when I head screaming from behind us. I used six sence (a spell he knows which allows him to sort of astro project himself out of his body and travel a little bit away) he goes to where he heard the scream and saw a village. I start running in the direction if the village to protect its inhabitants.
"Look at that the shield hero is already running away with his tail between his legs." Malty exclaims
I ignore her and keep running, with in minutes I'm at the village, theres a deployment of knights who are being massacred by the monsters, I quickly go into action. (Anything surrounded by this # = spell)
