Bleu Jones

Los Angeles was absolutely amazing, switching from law school to culinary went better than I thought it would. Harry has been the sweetest, always making sure I feel at home in his home and even giving me space when we first got back together to get settled.

Now today was my day to be there for him. He was there for me when my mother said I wasn't part of the family anymore, and he's still there for me to this day. Even when I find myself thinking about the day, and getting upset.

"Hey dad. Is mom there?" I asked as he picked up the phone call, setting it onto speaker so Harry could hear it as well. Harry had his head resting on my shoulder, rubbing circles on my arms to comfort me.

"Yeah! I'll put you on speaker now, Sammy is here too."

"Sammy? Really?" I could hear Samuel say on the other side of the line causing me to laugh lightly.

"What's up honey?" My dad asked once my mom came over.

"I'm going to culinary school. I'm done with law school, I've finished my degree and I'm going to be a cook. I'm staying in LA." I quickly spoke so I could just get it all out.

My mother scoffed, "This is a joke, right? Did that crazy mother put you up to this?" I felt Harry tense up behind me when his mother was spoken about, but he knew better than to get involved.

"Do not say those things. I made this decision on my own, this is what I want to do." I spoke harshly, before quietly adding, "With or without you."

"What did you just say?" My mother spat.

"With or without us?" My father spoke softly, hurt by my words even though they were mostly towards my mother.

"I really want you guys to support me. I need some support, please. That's all I ask. If it goes downhill, then you can say you told me so. But at least allow me to pursue it." I pleaded.

"No daughter of mine will be a cook." My mother promptly spoke, and I heard shuffling on the other side signifying she had left.

My dad sighed, "Just give her time sweetheart. I support you."

"I support you too." Samuel added.

I smiled a little through the light tears that had started to run down my face, "Thank you. I'm going to go, love you guys."

"Love you!" They spoke in unison before I ended the call.

Harry turned me around so we were face to face and used his thumbs to wipe off the tears running down my face. He kissed my nose gingerly, before smiling softly.

"It's okay. It's all going to be alright, I promise you." Harry kissed my lips softly, "I love you Bleu Jones."
