Max always felt like an outcast among her peers. While they went to parties, football games, and school events , she preferred the company of the stories that lived in her head. Imaginary worlds where safe place for the real world wasn't nearly as fun. College would be a welcomed escape. However she couldn't afford the fancy college she wanted to go to, so she took a year off to save.  No cash and one break up later she enrolls at Greendale Community College.

Alice was always in the in crowd. Head cheerleader, loved by her family and peers. While her weird sister made an easy target for bullies, Alice made sure to make herself stick out as the best. She had everything. The looks, popularity, and a boyfriend. Fast forward a few years later she's fresh from a divorce and on the campus of a run down community college.
