Long ago in a far off castle lived a Prince and his brother, the Duke to his kingdom. The Duke liked extravagant prizes and odd trinkets that made the castle and kingdom only believe more that the man was mad. The Prince, disliked the attention it brought onto his name and when he failed to convince his twin to stop, he turned to a powerful enchantress. However his wish to banish his brother and to make the whole kingdom forget came with a price. The Prince blinded with power, and his eccentric ego didn't care for the consequences. So the enchantress did as she was asked and cursed his lunatic sibling. She turned the man into the monster he was inside and the only way to reverse the curse was that he must find love for himself and they had to love him back in return before the last petal fell on the beautiful lily flower she gave him. If he failed to do so, he would remain a horrid beast for eternity. The Duke, ashamed of his appearance locked himself away, and when his brother or anyone in general never arrived he knew he was forever alone to remain a monster for the rest of his life, for who could fall in love, with a Beast?

Logan's POV:

It was very early in the morning, and yet Virgil was already setting to work on his art, and I was just about prepared to go into town to return my book. I walked down the path quietly, book in hand, basket in the other, and a pouch of money in my bag to buy something me or Virgil may need. I smiled softly as I looked around at the silent town that I was close to arriving in and started to sing.

"Little town, it's a quiet village...
Every day like the one before~
Little town! Full of little people, waking up to say..." I looked up just as the towns windows started to open up with the soon to be busy villagers.

"Bonjour!"

"Bonjour!"

"Bonjour!"

"Bonjour!"

"Bonjour!" Five villagers said to a musical beat that wasn't coordinated before. It was all just the routine, and I started to make my way through the path that began to fill with the townspeople.

"There goes the baker with his tray like always.
The same old bread and rolls to sell~
Every morning just the same,
Since the morning that I came,
To this poor provincial town." I continued to sing, and I saw one of the carpenters walk up to me with a greeting smile that I made myself return.

"Good Morning Logan!" He exclaimed and I smiled to him, before spotting him looking around uncertainly for something on the ground.

"Good morning Monsieur Jean. Have you lost something again?" I asked and chuckled at the thought.

"Well, I believe I have.
Problem is I've can't remember what.
Oh well, I'm sure it'll come to me.
Where are you off to?" He asked me and I shifted my book into my hands and held it up to him.

"To return this book to Emile Picani,
It's about Isaac Newton and his discoveries on gravity." I explained, hoping to catch his interest so I could talk about the books interesting content.

"Sounds boring." Was all he said and walked off, I sighed and started moving forward again. And like every time I came into town the villagers started to talk about me like I wasn't there.

"Look there he goes
That man is strange, no question!" A group of women gossiped to each other.

"Dazed and distracted can't you tell?" The fisherman added as he went off to go do his day of work.

"Never part of any crowd.
'Cause his head's stuck on some cloud." A snobby woman continued as she looked through the store window at the jewelry.

"No denying he's a funny boy, that man." They all said together and nodded to each other in agreement, as I kept walking to ignore them.

"Bonjour!
Good day!
How is your family?"
