Logan's POV:
Several months have passed since I've broken the curse, and even though some of us were still adjusting to the sudden change, things were otherwise going really well. Roman was properly put on trial where it was decided for him to be locked away for his crimes of treason. Although Remus still made sure that the room that he would be staying in was decent enough and humane to live in unlike a regular prison cell. But to still prove a point, Remus made sure there was nothing too luxurious or expensive in the room since Roman grew up and lived his whole life believing he absolutely needed those things. It was amusing to me really but I kept quiet about it. Around the first month of adjusting to the non-cursed life, Remus proposed to me and asked me to marry him officially that I of course agreed to. And today he was being coronated as king as he was now of age to take the throne. I helped him button up his outfit and adjusted it to make sure it was fitted on him correctly. I looked up and he was looking in the mirror with wide eyes and his face completely pale, I smiled softly to him and gave him a quick peck on the lips.
"You're going to be amazing, don't worry to much ok?" I reassured him while wrapping my arms around his neck.
"But what if I fail to make this kingdom better? They need a ruler, I just never expected it to be me" he said with a sigh and I shook my head.
"Some of the best things in our lives come to us by catching us off-guard. I mean, we are literally an example of that" I joked and he snorted "and I'll be right by your side with all of our friends to help you on the way." I told him and he nodded his head slowly to show he understood. "Now let me at least try to comb your hair?" I asked and he chuckled with a nod. He sat down in the chair with the vanity mirror across from him as I picked up a brush. I began to go through his hair gently as to try and not hurt him and started to hum a lullaby my parents sung to me when I was little.
"What song is that?" He asked and I smiled,
"Something my mom and dad sang to me when I was little." I answered back as I got through a section of his hair that was no detangled.
"Can I hear it?" He asked and I nodded.
"How can a moment last forever?
How can a story never die?
It is love we must hold onto,
Never easy, but we try~" I began to sing and he smiled upon hearing my voice. "Sometimes our happiness is captured,
Somehow, our time and place stand still.
Love lives on inside our hearts and always will~
Minutes turn to hours, days to years then gone,
But when all else has been forgotten...
Still our song lives on~" I smiled softly at the fond memory of my parents when I was little. Of course the memories were scrambled and blurry because I was so little. But happy memories nonetheless.
"Maybe some moments weren't so perfect,
Maybe some memories not so sweet...
But we have to know some bad times
Or our lives are incomplete~
Then when the shadows overtake us,
Just when we feel all hope is gone
We'll hear our song and know once more
Our love lives on~How does a moment last forever?
How does our happiness endure?
Through the darkest of our troubles
Love is beauty, love is pure~
Love pays no mind to desolation
It flows like a river through the soul
Protects, perceives, and perseveres
And makes us whole~
Minutes turn to hours, days to years then gone
But when all else has been forgotten
Still our song lives on~
How does a moment last forever?
When our song lives on..." I finished and sighed deeply."That was beautiful Logan, you must have some amazing parents. Which I'm not surprised with how wonderful you are now." Remus complimented and I giggled.
"They were, at least what I remember from them in my childhood" I frowned, now thinking of the moments the two of them passed.
