Pansexual Definition

Hi guys! So I decided to make a few chapters of definitions for different sexualities in case anyone is confused. So, today i'm covering: pansexuality.

Pansexuality is part of the plus in LGBTQ(+) and it is the sexual/romantic/emotional attraction to someone regardless of their sex and/or gender identity.

The flag for pansexuality is pink on top, yellow in the middle, and blue on the end, as shown above! The pink stripe represents people who identify as a female and the blue bottom stripe represents everyone who identifies as male. The yellow stripe in the middle stands for anyone who stands between and/or beyond gender binary. An example of this would be someone who is non-binary or gender fluid. Since they do not identify STRICTLY as male or female, they fall between and outside of gender binaries.

First of all, let me just say that many people confuse pansexuality and bisexuality together frequently so let me just clear some things up for you! :)

Pansexuality is....
~not being attracted to pans
Many people will make jokes abt this, but make sure you don't push any boundaries because some people are very sensitive about these kinds of jokes (i'm not so feel free to make jokes💞😂)

~not the same as being bisexual
Bisexuality is the attraction of two or more genders. This can involve transgender and cisgender people, but pansexuality includes people who are gender fluid, non-binary, or outside of the gender binary.

~being attracted to anyone, regardless of gender
Many people refer to this as being "gender blind", meaning the gender of someone you love does not matter. This is true, because on sexuality deals with loving someone for who they are, regardless of their gender identity, or lack of

~NOT a made-up sexuality
No matter what anyone says, just know that pansexuality is a completely valid sexuality!! For many people, they may call themselves bisexual, but not really feel like that's what they are on the inside. That's where pansexuality comes in.

RECAP!!
Pansexuality is when you feel sexual/emotional/romantic attraction towards someone regardless of their identity. This involves, but is not limited to;
~males (transgender and cisgender)
~females (transgender and cisgender)
~non-binary people
~gender fluid people
~anyone outside the gender barriers
This basically means you are "gender blind", meaning that a persons gender identity does not play a factor in whether you are attracted to them or not. You love them for their personalities, intelligence, and other traits, but not what sex/gender they are.
