Demisexual definition

Previously, I explained pansexuality to all you gaybies so today (tonight for me lol) I will be explaining Demisexuality.

Same as pansexuality, Demisexuality is part of the plus in LGBTQ(+). Demisexuality is when someone cannot feel physical attraction towards another person unless they have a strong emotional bond. This could be your friends, best friends,or anyone who you feel a strong emotional bonding with.

For example, some people can walk down the street and be physically attracted towards random people they see, but a Demisexual person cannot. They would not feel any sexual attraction to someone who was a stranger to them, because they lack that certain level of trust that the would need for attraction. Contrary to some beliefs, the amount of time these bonds take to form differ from person to person. For some, they can bond over experiences and siilar interests, but it all depends on the person themselves.

*JUST BECAUSE THE EMOTIONAL BOND IS THERE DOES NOT MEAN THEY WILL FEEL SEXUAL ATTRACTION TOWARDS YOU!!!!*

An emotional bond formed does NOT gurantee that the person will feel sexual desire to you! In fact, that deep emotional bond means that they trust you enough to let you into their life.

Demisexuality is...
~the ability to feel sexual attraction towards someone you form a strong bond with emotionally

~not the same as "getting to know someone before dating them"
Just getting to know someone does not neccesarily mean that you form a strong emotional bond with them instantly. For some, it can take a while to form that bond and for them to realize they formed one. From my demisexual friends personalexperience, she didn't even know she was Demisexual until she realized that she only feels attraction towards people who she has formed a very strong connection with (such as myself and our friends).

~just being confused
This is something that everyone always says to every sexuality and in fact, it is quite the opposite. They know themselves well enough to put a label on what they feel reprsent who they are.

~not having trust issues
Demisexuality and trust issues do not nesaccarily go hand in hand. Being Demisexual does not mean that you have trust issues, in fact, it simply means that you need to form a healthy and trusting relationship/friendship before being physically attracted to them.

~present in gay, straight, bisexual, pansexual and etc. people
Anyon with any gender attractions can be Demisexual. For example, you could have a gay demisexual man where he cannot experience sexual attraction without trusting and bonding with the other man. Same goes for straight people, bisexual/pansexual people, and etc.

Fun Facttttttt :)
~Demisexuality and Demiromantic are often referred to as leaning more towards asexuality/ being aromantic. This is because of the lack of sexual and/or physical attraction you originally feel for the person. Als, please remember that sexuality and romantic orientation are different things (i can do an explanation if any of you would like)
