I, I am a God" The boy said. Ea and I stared dumbly at him. "Y-you? A God? Give me a break." Ea spit out, while I stood there, with my mouth open. A God? No way is that boy a God.
The boy pouted, "Fine, fine, I am not a God. My name is Axel. Happy?" I started giggling. That sounded so funny in his cool and controlled voice. Axel and Ea looked at me strangly, and I waved a hand almost hopelessly lost in my giggling. Ea sighed and rolled his eyes again, like he was already fed up with me. Axel just looked kind of lost.
"Ignore her, She is kind of weird. I am called Ea here. That girl is called Zaira." Ea stated in a bored tone.
"Called? What do you mean, 'called'?" Axel asked in a curious tone, actually looking curious unlike before where he had not a single expression on his face.
Neither Zaira or I are using our real names. I blame that on Zaira, Fore it was her who decided not to tell me her name, I just followed suit." At that, I scowled.
"You are so mean Ea," I said, forming my own pout, "It almost seems as you do not want me here." Ea snorted at my comment,
"While you did just walk in here."
"That's because you told me I was allowed to come in."
Logic Ea, logic. You need to remember what happened, I thought as I recalled the event.
They both ignored me and continued their stare down. Then Axel spoke once again.
"I am here, searching for the one with the name of Ashllyn Elean Thorn, the next in line for the Necromancer throne. Her fiancee, the prince of vampires, wants her to come to their castle, for the last Queen was killed, less than a week ago."
I froze. "The crown prince is sending searchers for her? How would she know weither to trust the serchers or not, wouldn't the princess be suspicious of anybody because the Queen was killed?" I asked, hoping that they both could not detect the tremble in my voice when I spoke.
They both turned to me, "The princess? How do you know that? Only a few people know that Princess Ashllyn was actually a princess, not just the heir. Who are you, 'Zaira'?" Axel questioned, suspicion clear in his voice. Ea just stood there silently, looking back an forth at us, his eyes narrowed.
I swallowed. What should I do now? Axel and Ea where suspicous of me, and I didn't know wiether to trust Axel as a searcher, or Ea as a random stranger who I healed. I sighed and closed my eyes for a second, and collected my thoughts.
"I am the one you are searching for, Ashllyn Elean Thorn, Queen of the Necromancers. Tell me, what is your position exactly Axel, after all, you did know I was a princess, and not just some random girl who is heir through unknown reasons. Nevermind, don't answer, I think I know."
Axel. Or, Prince Axel. The prince of werewolves, another heir, why would they send someone so high up on the system to look for me though? Wouldn't it just be trusted sevants searching for me, not royalty?
"Zaira, of course, you said it meant princess. I did not think that you meant that literally. What are you doing here?" Ea questioned, eyes just a sliver, as his narrowed eyes narrowed even more. Then It also came to me who 'Ea' was. He was not just a traveller as I had first assumed. He was also a prince. Prince Erialic, the merboy crown heir on the run from his kingkdom, where his father wanted his head on a plate, and the revolutionaries wanted him crowned.
"I think we all have been less thruthful than we should of been, isn't that right, Crown Princes'?" They turned they're head sharply, to face me, from where we had moved to stand in a triangle. Ea's, or, Erialic's eyes went wide, quite the difference from the slits they where earlier, while Axel tensed.
I really hit the dot didn't I? Whoops, I thought as I chuckled almost darkly. This is going to be interesting.
