The first thing the girls did was unpack, while the boys decided to go for a swim. Hailey, being the bossy one as usual was triggered at her brother for throwing his bag randomly at the doorstep.
"Seriously Tyler?" Hailey muttered as her brother ran and jumped in the lake.
"It's okay I'll take care of it," Ashley smiled. Being the caring best friend she was, she decided to unpack it for him and fix his entire closet. After she was done, she decided to wear her swimsuit and join the rest of the squad in the lake.
"Ah shit! It's too cold!" Ashley said before Tyler swam towards her.
"Just try to move more," he said but she didn't move. He wrapped his arms around her to make sure she was not freezing.
"Feel better?" he asked as she nodded.
Meanwhile, the rest of their friends were busy splashing each other.
"This is going to be the best weekend of our lives" Hailey stated before her boyfriend pushed her into the pool and everyone laughed.
"You are so dead!" she swam towards him shoving him into the water.

Later on that night, they decided to set up a bonfire and eat melted marshmallows. Sitting around the fire, Hailey decided to play a few songs on her guitar.
"If you won't be a star one day I'll kill myself," one of their friends, Cara had said.
"Yeah right," Hailey just laughed.
"Let's play a game," Cara said.
"Truth or dare?" she asked.
"Oh no," Seth chuckled.
"Tyler, truth or dare?" Cara asked.
"Dare" he replied.
"You have to kiss one person in the group" she grinned as everyone laughed.
"Seriously Cara," he rolled his eyes as she nodded.
"I'd kiss Ash if she lets me," Tyler smiled at his best friend.
"I wouldn't mind" she shrugged before he leaned in and placed a soft kiss on her lips. Everyone stared at them in awe as she felt herself blush.
"You guys should date," Seth stated as Tyler and Ashley laughed.
"We are best friends."
After a couple of crazy dares, like jumping into the cold water or heated up make out sessions they decided to end their night by watching a horror movie, before everyone decided it was time to get some rest; they had a long day ahead of them tomorrow.
"Hey Ash you're okay? Your mood suddenly dropped," Tyler asked noticing the sad expression she was wearing.
"I'm fine, I just miss my mother sometimes," she replied.
Since Ashley's father passed away, her mom had lost her mind and reached her breaking point. She dealt with bipolar disorder but the pills used to keep her sane. However, the moment she stopped taking them, she grew very ill and couldn't look after her daughter anymore, or herself, ending up in a mental asylum.
"Why won't you go visit her then?"
"I don't recognize her anymore, she's not the person I grew up with."
"I get it, but she's still your mother. I could even come with you if you want!"
"You'd do that for me?"
"I love you just as much as I love my sister." Ashley shuffled uncomfortably before wishing Tyler good night.

Hailey woke up in the middle of the night feeling her throat dry, she untangled herself from her boyfriend's arms before walking downstairs to the kitchen. She grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge before opening it and taking a sip.
As she turned around about to go back to her room, she stood there frozen noticing a shadow at the end of the hallway.
"Tyler? Ashley?" she asked her voice slightly shaking.
Someone was obviously standing near the stairs, hence why this person's shadow was reflecting on the wall.
A wicked laughter was heard, before the shadow disappeared. One of her friends was definitely pranking her, she thought before running towards the stairs. Nobody was there. she went upstairs noticing all the rooms' doors were closed, meaning her friends were asleep. She heard a faded laughter again but looked around noticing she was alone in the hallway. She instantly got in the room she was sharing with her boyfriend, seeing he was peacefully snoring on the bed.
Maybe she was just having illusions because of that horror movie, she sighed before lying down on the bed.
