Reunion (Sousuke Yamazaki x Reader)

You and Sousuke used to go to the same high school, where you were the swimming team's coach. You always supported him and told him not to push himself too much, since you were the only one who noticed that much. One day you saw him clutching his shoulder, so you told him to go to the hospital. Unable to say no to you, he went. After that, he never returned to swim practice, so you would talk to him when you saw him in the hallways, but one day he disappeared.

Scenario :

Your swimming team is competing and you see Sousuke, Rin, and Gou, (you recognize them all since you all went to the same school at one point). Wondering on why he is still swimming, you wander around until you hear Rin and Sousuke argue. Upon hearing the exchanged words, you decide to speak with him later, when he is in a better condition.

Reunion

Backing away from the scene, I decided to talk to catch up once he had more free time. Wow, seems like his life is way more angsty than before.

Returning back to my team, I sat beside (G/N), who had been talking to his teammates. Turning to me he raised a brow, "How did it go, (Y/N)-san? Is the traitor doing well", he asked, showing his neverending grudge against Sousuke.

Sighing, I shook my head, "He seems to be having a lot of issues right now, so I'll go talk to him later", I said, wondering on how to approach him later today, "And he's not a traitor, I probably would've done the same."

"What", he yelled, making me flinch on the sudden noise, "So you would betray us too?! You're just as bad as Yamazaki", he said, scowling.

Shaking my head, I hid my anger, "Sousuke left because he wanted to get away from all the angst, and return to where it all started with Rin", I said, resisting the temptation of walking out of there. He insulted Sousuke but he doesn't understand his situation.. I don't either, but I trust him, so I have to support him...but right now I have to support my team.

After all the events had taken place, I went outside to meet up with my team. Almost immediately, I saw Sousuke with his team exiting the building. After congratulating everyone on their hard work, I made my way back towards the 'traitor'.

Catching up to him, I was able to meet his steady pace, "Sousuke, I haven't seen you in a while, how are you", I said, a small smile on my face, I hope it was a good idea to talk to him, I don't know what to do... I'm so nervous..

Turning back to face me, he looked down to meet my eyes, "(Y/N)", he said, confused.

Slowly nodding, I began to feel hotter by the second, "Y-yeah, I saw you swim a while ago", I said, my uneasiness more evident.

Now smiling, he patted my head, "It's nice to see you again, how's the the team", he said.

I haven't seen him in so long and he asks about the team, "Oh, um, they.. they say you're a traitor", I mumbled, not wanting to spoil his mood.

He nodded, "I can't blame them, I left them without saying anything", Sousuke said, sounding a bit more distant, "What about you", he asked, looking at me.

I hadn't even noticed he had stopped walking, so I bumped right into his broad back, "O-oh, sorry", I apologized.

He nodded, and continued to walk, "It's okay."

Hmm? He looks a bit down, what did he just ask... "Oh, no, I'm not mad at you Sousuke, I still trust you", I blurted out, making him stop even more abruptly than before.

Once again I bumped into his back, but the greater force made me fall to the ground. Turning around when he heard a thud, he immediately offered to lend me his hand, "S-sorry", he said, slightly embarrassed.

Taking his hand, he quickly lifted me up with too much force, which made me bump into his chest. Though it was only for a few seconds, I was able to feel all of his muscles through his Samezuka sweater.

We both backed away awkwardly, unsure of what to say or do. After a few moments of awkward and embarrassed silence, I spoke up, "Heh, well after so long, its nice to bump into you so much", I said, trying to make a small joke to soothe the uncomfort.

Giving me one of his rare, yet sweet smiles, he patted my head. Returning the smile, I turned back to face the now setting sun, "I'm so glad that I was able to meet up with you after so long..", I began, my eyes welling up with tears. Blinking, I pulled my sleeves up to wipe my eyes, ".. I am so worried about you", I admitted, trying to refrain from crying any longer.

Feeling something on my shoulders, I opened my eyes to find Sousuke placing both of his hands on my shoulders, "Don't worry about me anymore, I won't do this anymore", he said smiling, yet I could tell his eyes were full of sorrow.

Now sobbing, I hugged Sousuke, "Why did you leave, I missed you so much, look what you've done to yourself", I scolded, though it was obvious it was out of love for him.

Wrapping his arms around me, he began to gently stroke my back, "I'm sorry...", he said, but he knew that it wasn't enough to heal my saddened state

Slightly pushing him away, I gently punched his chest, "No your not! If you were you would've kept in touch, you would've-", he then cut me off mid-sentence, using an action not expected from the blue-eyed giant.

The moment didn't last all that long, but it was memorable, "I-I should've told you..", he began turning away to hide his red face, "I should've told you that I loved you", he finished, leaving me speechless.

He kissed me, then confessed his feelings for me... he sure has gotten brave..

(A/N: I'm so sorry it took me so long to post this! I had to turn in two projects from two sperate classes before going to Winter Break, but now I have more writing, [except the following monday and tuesday, I am going to do some community service]. I hope I haven't disapointed you guys. [Knowing me, I'll end up writing some fanfic during the holidays and new years].)
