Chapter Fifteen, Healing
Aragorn had just finished healing Calén and Merry with the Athelas water making the black veins disappear from both of their arms. However, Calén was still unconscious but they had hope as his heart beat was still rather strong. They knew the fight had likely drained what little energy he had left and was most likely flung to remain unconscious until the Ring was destroyed. He had also reset Calén's broken arm and placed it in a sling and bandaged his arm that poisoning on it with some bandages soaked in Athelas water just make sure. All they could really do now was hope.
Haldir had sent word to Lothlorien to inform Lady Galadriel and Lord Celeborn what had happened to their son. Everyone expected the Elven couple to arrive within a few days as they'd most likely want to be by his side. Aragorn has hardly left Calén's side and when he did it was only when someone forced him to. Haldir and his brothers and the other members of the Fellowship were also frequent visitors to Calén's bedside. Each of them hoping and praying that he would make it through this war and that it ended and ended soon.
It was with that thought in mind that Aragorn called a meeting with the members of the Fellowship, Haldir and his Elves, Eomer who was now the King of Rohan and Boromir's brother Faramir that they decided that at first light tomorrow they would march to the Gates of Mordor and clean out Saurons lands attract him and his armies so the lands of Mordor were clear for Frodo and Sam to get to Mount Doom. It was also decided that the Elves would stay here to help protect and heal the people here and look after Calén as well as Faramir and Eoywen as they were both injured.

As the night wore on and plans were finalised they bid each other goodnight and headed to their rooms for hopefully a restful sleep but they very much doubted it as the fate of their friend lies within the balance and depended on whether they were successful or not. Upon entering his room Aragorn saw Calén had been carefully moved into his room and looked as if he was asleep in the bed and not unconscious. After changing into nightwear Aragorn climbed into bed next to his love. "Don't worry my love we will destroy Sauron once and for all tomorrow and you will be safe and back with us in no time. I love you my Meleth nîn." Aragorn said softly as he brushed Calén's hair out of his face and placed a soft kiss on his forehead and then his lips before drifted into s restless sleep.

It was around mid afternoon the next morning the Lord and Lady of Lothlorien arrived at Gondor and were directed to wear their sweet son laid unconscious. They sat with him for hours each holding one of his hands and each sending prayer after prayer after prayer to the Vallor. Hoping with all that they had that they would get their son back. It was around two hours after they arrived that they felt the darkness over this world diminish and this time for good. As they watched they saw the colour return to their son's pallor face, the weight he'd lost due to the life literally being drained out of him return. The rosey colour return to his lips and cheeks until he suddenly woke up with a gasp as he sucked air into his lungs his eyes opening to show his one more bright emerald green eyes, the raven colour of his hair retuning.
"Nana! Ada." Calén called hoarsely to his parents his father smiling softly at him as he helped him sit up and take some much needed sips of water. "It's okay now my sweet boy." Galadriel soothed running her fingers through his hair. "You're safe now. The darkness is gone and gone for good this time."
"It's over?" He asked after he finished his water.
"Yes my son it is over." Celeborn told him as Calén let our cries of relief as his parents held him waiting to hear news on his beloved.End of chapter!
