𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐬 𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫, Charisma nursed her morning vanilla ice coffee. She had woken up two hours prior to her normal time with the intention of tidying herself for school hours before Valerio or Polo woke; her drive to avoid both boys triumphing over her extra beauty hours of rest.
After practically dragging her brother home, stopping at the liquor store to pick up three bottles of vodka, courtesy of Valerio's request to celebrate Polo's newfound 'freedom', Chari, Cayetana, and the two boys did exactly just that, turning their backyard into a pool party of four. Charisma absolutely tried her best to enjoy the moment but instead of numbing her chest and silencing her mind with shot after shot, in both glasses and off Valerio's chest, she instead found herself frowning and growing agitated towards Polo.
She couldn't help but bore into his complexion, noting how his smile never met his shining charismatic dimples, his teeth hunched together in force as he laughed at Valerio, his eyes twitched when they'd close and kiss his girlfriend. Both Villada children were aching to disguise their true feelings with cheap booze which wasn't doing the trick, though the youngest Villada was more subtle and smooth with her act. The longer she watched Polo jump into the pool after taking a shot and wrap his arms around Cayetana, she could see his facade falter. It aggravated her that he was putting on a show to his girlfriend and friend's dismay, and it upset her even more that he thought he could fool his flesh and blood.
There were two options that night could have transpired. The first, if Charisma gave into her kryptonite and had a little pick me up (which Valerio practically begged for her to take a break with him in the bathroom but she surprisingly, for once shook her head and said no), eventually her highful bliss sending her on a rampage of arguing and calling Polo out, and the second being she'd turn in for the night and avoid narrowing down the truth like every other person at Las Encinas attempted.
The first was too tempting but Charisma was exhausted and she just wanted one day, no hour, since that was all she seemed to get to just act like nothing happened. With her right hand in the air, her frail thin fingers wiggling, she had bid the couple goodnight and kissed Valerio's cheek, giggling as he dropped to his knees and held her at the ankles, begging her to stay and party longer.
'We have school tomorrow', she reminded him, sounding just like her mother. It was funny because she was the complete opposite of her mothers', lacking responsibility when it came to her education. Shock was pressed over all three faces as she chose her studies over a good night but she had to do what was best for her own health and at the time, it was letting Polo ravish in his lies for a few moments longer.
Just like her classmates who hated Polo's return, Charisma absolutely dreaded it; and while everyone was already talking of ways to get him out and attack him on his first day, she wanted absolutely nothing to do with it. Valerio and his kind, caring, nonjudgmental heart had offered him a ride to school, 'you know have at least someone by your side' and when Chari heard her brother agree, she made note to leave before either boy.
