As Arsène was fighting the dark warriors, Maria had eventually joined in, donned in her classic red body suit, silver breastplate, metal gauntlets, and metal boots. After knocking out the ShapeShifter behind him, Arsène finally noticed her and greeted,
"Hey."
"Miss me?" She flirtatiously asked, flipping her long black hair over her shoulder.
"Wouldn't go that far." Arsène said quietly.
They continued fighting off any ShapeShifters until Arsène realised something strange. They just kept coming.
"There's no end to them!" Maria cried.
"... The King is here!" Arsène said aggressively.
"Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!" A loud, ominous voice laughed.
When he revealed himself, Arsène glared with all his hatred. It was Vesuvius, Chief if the Shadow Tribe.
"I knew you were foolish enough to show up." He bellowed.
"Don't think you're safe from me!" Arsène threatened. Although it didn't scare Vesuvius, he did manage to scare Maria out of her skin with those words.
"What do you want!?." Arsène said.
"This universe will be destroyed, allowing me to create my own universe, filled with prosperity." Vesuvius replied.
"Prosperity? Don't make me laugh! No life will ever prosper with your rule!" Arsène spat.
With no reply, Vesuvius laughed and retreated to his dungeon.
"Damn bastards! I will kill them no matter the cost!" Arsène growled.
"Arsène, you never did tell me what happened with you and them. Why do you hate them so much?" Maria asked in worry.
"Not here." Arsène said, blasting himself and Maria back to the base. When they got back, they put their weapons away and Maria changed clothes, now wearing a white T-shirt, black shorts, and red joggers, with Arsène back in his peacoat.
"I was only six years old. I was living my best life with my parents. They were the only family I had." Arsène started. Maria looked in shock.
"It was the day before my birthday, and we were setting up for a party, when it happened." His face suddenly darkened and Maria looked worried.
"The next thing I remember is flames dancing all around the section of the city I lived in. No one made it out but me." Arsène finished. Even let a few tears down, shocking Maria. She reached out hesitantly and wrapped her arms around him but Arsène didn't move. He just sat and stared at the wall. After Maria pulled away, she rested her hands in his shoulders.
"Arsène, no matter what happens, I will always stay here. Right by your side. You don't have to fight alone." Maria said
"Hmph. Thanks." Arsène said, finding this a little funny. This was the most he has spoken in 15 years.
"Anytime, Arsène." Maria replied. She released his shoulders reluctantly, and Arsène stood up.
"Anyways, I need to get home and rest."
"Oh uhh, about that, is it p-possible if I could stay with you the night? My parents are out and I don't wanna spend the night alone..." Maria asked timidly.
"Hmm... fine." Arsène said.
"Thanks."
And just like that, they made their way to Arsène's mansion for some rest.
Upon arriving, they got themselves comfortable in the lounge and started watching a movie. After they finished the movie, they went to his kitchen to have some dinner, when he suddenly jumped up and the Inferno appeared in his left hand.
"Huh?" Maria said, startled.
"Someone's here." Arsène said menacingly.
The door was blown open only to reveal...

Below is the official design for Maria. Her full body will be revealed later in the story. Hope you enjoy 😉.
